Hi, wondered who had been at Disney in the latter two weeks of June (we're going June 24-28--DH has business so this is only choice) and what you encountered there re: crowds, heat, general conditions. Is it as crowded as the rest of the summer? (Sorry if this is a dumb question but it will really help to know!) Thanks!!

I would also like to know the answer to this question. We are considering a trip to WDW either the last week of June or the last week of July.

Thanks,

tkay

I went to disney a couple of years ago in late june and the crowds did not seem that bad to me. Compared to other times I have went like the first week in Jan.. I have never been in July or August so I can not tell you about the crowds. The weather in June will be a little nicer than in July or August, the humidlty will not be as bad ( which is a good thing) I hop eyou have a great time planning your trip. I return to the Wolrd in December

Hey thanks for reply, Goofy KC. (And I notice you're in Lagrange -- nice place! I'm in Roswell GA.) You have a great time on your Dec. trip, too--

Just FYI: the American Library Assn. convention will be in Orlando June 24th-29th this year, and many people will be staying through the following weekend. Although the convention is based on I-drive at the Orange Co. Convention Ctr., a LOT of us will be bringing our families, and most of those families will be headed to WDW. The convention will have ~ 34,000 registered attendees, plus families, so our presence will probably have a noticable effect on attendance at both WDW and USIOA.

Yikes, thanks for the heads-up! Sounds like a great conference though, and hope the families really enjoy themselves--

We have been the last week in une twice 2003 and 2002. The crowds were very manageable at both times. Weather was warm but not oppressive as I have heard July and Aug are. The first year it rained(thunder/lightning showers) every day around 3pm and then it was just as humid after. Last year we had NO rain at all for all 6 days and it was wonderful touring and pool weather. It is nice to have the parks open late so you can do afternoons at the pool or napping in A/C.

OMG NotUrsula are you a fellow librarian?!

I knew that the conference was down in Orlando, but I didn't realize I'd be there for my honeymoon at the same time!

Librarians Rock!

Cool Connears -- just what I was hoping to hear! :)
