Are lanyards provided?

I thought I had read that fist-time cruisers receive lanyards for their key cards but now can't find that info. If they are provided, are they for each member of the cabin, including kids (ages 6 and 8)?

First timers are Not given lanyards. You will receive lanyards and stateroom gifts starting with your second cruise, lanyards for each person including kids, one stateroom gift per cabin.

Correct, first timers don’t get lanyards. We prefer to wear our own anyways as we have some really cute themed ones we like to wear our favorite pins on.

Party City had cute ones for $1, but they didn't come with the plastic pouch part. Our TA gave us lanyards with their name/logo and the plastic pouch so we put those pouches on our cute lanyards. My daughter and I had pink ones with princesses and I think I got my husband super heroes.

I was counting on that when I went on my first DCL cruise almost 2 years ago. Except that I was told they ran out & handed me a sling bag instead. Fortunately, I did fine without a lanyard.
