Are Grand gatherings worth it?

We will be a party of 8 or more. What is offerend at the grand gathering dinings? Where are they located?

As a grand gathering I have done the safari dinner at Animal Kingdom

You get a "private" safari with the other grand gatherer's, then a buffet dinner with characters and some of the exotic animals to see the children there is an african band playing with dancing for the kids and adults who want to join in and keepsake pin.

Illuminations dinner there is a comedy show and character greet with minnie & goofy. Buffet style dinner, private viewing for the Illuminations show and desserts with coffee, tea, juice. Keepsake pin too.

Those are the only ones we have done loved them.

I don't really know much about the Grand Gatherings. This April, we're going as a party of 10 and I booked the Good Morning Character Breakfast. Can anyone tell me a little about that one?
I really would have liked to do the Safari or Illuminations Grand Gatherings but I ran out of meals on my dining plan

I'm hoping the breakfast will be a great time, too.
