At the poly, are garden view rooms the cheapest? I booked our room very quickly and didn't know what was available and that's what she gave us. If I call back and request a MK view or monorail view is that more expensive? In your opinion, what's better: having the view you want or the building you want?

Sorry so many questions, we go in a month!!!

Garden view is the least expensive, concierge and suites are the most expensive. The other views fall in between. I would suggest you price the views and book what you are comfortable paying. All of the longhouses at the Polynesian have their own merits as do the views. It is, again, a matter of preference and what you are willing to spend. :)

If you also book a Garden View Club Level room that is going to be more expensive then a regular Garden View room.

the MK view is the lagoon view - very, very expensive.

the monrail is on the other side of the this resort - so these are garden views.

the only thing I have a problem is with Polyn - is the 2nd floor. Lots of 2nd floors don't have a balcony. You will want a balcony here - it is that nice.

the 1st floor have a patio - but you want the monrail. So ask for 3rd floor with a view of the monrail.

Tikiman recommends - Aotearoa for monrail views

that says I prefer Tahiti - rooms are bigger and it is quieter.

here is a map - Tahiti is not near the monrail.

Tokelau, Tahiti and Rapa Bui all have the largest Poly rooms and beautiful garden views - except for the monorial side of Rapi Nui. Both 2nd and 3rd floor of these longhouses have a balcony.

Figi has wonderful garden views and a marina view which is also considered a garden view room. 2nd floor rooms do not have a balcony.

My favorite is Tokelau - centrally located - easy walk to GCH or TTC or the Water Launch's. Views of the quiet pool or gardens between 3 longhouses.

Have a wonderful Poly stay!

You have much good advice already. I just wanted to add that most rooms at the Polynesian are gardenview. Although they are the least expensive, they typically have beautiful views. We enjoy garden view so much that my own personal list combining view/value is Lagoon view concierge first and garden view second. You get lovely views for a lower cost.
