Are CoViD jabs free in the US?

/
The earlier versions were covered directly by federal funding. As of sometime last year legislation now requires that all private insurance as well as Medicare/Medicaid cover COVID vaccinations. There are programs to get free vaccinations if someone doesn't have insurance. This fall had a bit of a hiccup with the switch to submitting through private insurance but I think those kinds are all worked out now.

I believe most insurance plans cover them just as any other vaccine. If you are uninsured they wouldn't be; however, I heard some commercial the other day that there is "Bridge" access from the CDC for people without insurance to get them without cost. But I think you have to find a specific place to get them.

CVS participates in this program. I know someone without insurance that was able to get the booster from CVS without paying anything.

Free for us with Medicare and a Medicare supplement policy. We always show our insurance cards.

Did you get them at the same pharmacy you get your prescriptions? If so I assume they already have your insurance information
I got the first two in a tent outside a hospital, the second two were at my pharmacy, yes. The last one I got when my aunt got hers at her pharmacy. So, it was kind of a mixed bag.
