When we rode this, my husband and I had different experiences. I was the center seat in the center "flyer" and it was excellent. I loved the ride. DH had a seat far to the right and said he wasn't surrounded by screen so it didn't feel that real. Is it true there are seats where you aren't completely surrounded by screen?

I don't really know if there is a difference they all seem the same to me. The first time we rode we were on the right side in the front row and it was awsome and the second time we were in the front and center and it was still awsome. So I think that it really doesn't matter where you are section wise but I think the rows may matter. In the second and third rows it is probabaly still awsome but the down side is that you see peoples feet but hopefully they have there shoes on. :rotfl2:

I don't think there is a bad seat in the ride. Every seat gives you a different view. When I am in the second or third row I just look at the screen differently and the feet sort of disappear because I am watching the screen instead of feet.

i do think there is a difference in the seats
first row center is the absolute best seat center seats in any row are the best
third row is the worst you see peoples feet in front and you see the bottom of the screen. same with sides....you see the sides so it dosen't feel like the screen surronds you...second row is ok but first row/ top row center= :jumping1:

We were lucky enough to ride this twice while we were down there last month and thought it was the best ride in WDW period. Both times we were able to sit on the very front center. What an awesome experience!!! I believe I could go there everyday and ride it and never get tired of it. It was that good to us.

I sat on the far right end twice and it was stunning. The only time I even noticed there were other people above or below was the first time we rode and I took a quick peek at "afraid of heights" Dad to see how he was holding up (he loved it).

The video screen is designed to be best viewed from the center of the front (top) row... but really, the ride is stunning from anywhere.

We rode the ride several times. I elected to be in the bottom row (we had a party of 8 and had to split up to fit). My DH was in the top row and said it was AWESOME there and that you are *in* the screen. Next time he was in the bottom row with me, and noted that you could smell the different scents better, but noted you could see the sides. (It didn't bother me that you could see the sides or people's feet.)

My 13 year old cousin rode this ride twice. The first time she rode, she was by herself as my dd9 freaked out after getting buckled in and I had to leave with her (she did ride later on and loved it!). My cousin was in the middle glider in the middle row. After this ride, she said it was akay but she did not have to ride again.

Skip forward 5 days when our whole group was with us and she rode in the front row, center glider.

She LOVED it as did the rest of our party. She wanted to go again, so we did and got put in a side glider, third row. We were not impressed with these seats and understood why she could take or leave the ride.

If we go and get to ride again, I will ask to wait for a front row to be available, because to us, this was where we enjoyed the ride.

Personally I like the front row, you get to be much higher up. I think this helps the exxperience of flying.

I love the first row because that is the top row and you get a better view without seeing feet. I do lean forward in the seat though and see the whole screen.
When I am on the bottom row I sit back in the seat and enjoy the "gliding" feeling more and focus on the screen. I don't see the feet much when I am sitting back in my seat.
Honestly, I love the ride and don't notice much difference whether I am on the side, top, bottom whatever. It is great no matter where you sit and there is nothing blocking your view. No tall heads or high hats each row is the front row. Peggie

I'm with you MICKEY527, I've been on in multiple times and have been seated in different areas. I enjoyed every seating. Focus on the ride, not what's around you. I always feel I'm gonna fall in the first seen! I have a fear of you know what. Just enjoy!!!!
