Are Capri Pants still 'in'?

I wouldn't know, all capris are too long for me! They just look like high waters on me, even petites! :rotfl:

Last week at WalMart, I got several capris (White Stag label)....all in a thinner summer STRETCH "denim". I got them in khaki, black, & pre-washed denim. They also had white & solid blue darker denim. They have a cuff you can turn up or completely down to adjust length. No pockets to add to bulk. Flat front. Elastic waist. Bottom of leg flairs out just a tad; not straight cut or tapered. Fit nicely on my 2X bottom which is all in gut & butt. They also had them in regular sizes. I think they were $14.88.

I also ordered several pairs from Roamans.com. Many colors in a soft cottony material (like thicker tshirt)....and some seer-sucker. These all have side pockets that add to bulk. Elastic waist. These also seem wider legs than Walmart. Great for lounging, but seem hot on really hot days. My favorite is heather grey.....I have several & wear with everything all the time.

Still available everywhere. Not crazy about gouchos though. Flash backs to 7th grade. I think those are a fad & will be gone next year.

BTW, I'm 42. 1X top & 2X bottom. I NEVER find anything at Target that is size or age appropriate. So I don't even look there anymore. I swear they don't even HAVE a women's dept.

Yes, our Walmart had denim Lee Riders capris. They were lightweight fabric, and came in all different denim washes. They were $14.00 and some change. I couldn't even try them on because the baby was fussy, but was so pleassantly surprised they fit a little loose when I got home. I just picked out my regular size. So you could get 2 pairs and still have change leftover! :cool1:

I hope so since I'm wearing a brand new over priced fuschia pair that I bought at a local over priced shop here. Oh and did I mention over priced?

I LOVE capris. I usually get mine at Walmart. They have denim ones for about $14.00 and up. They have a crinkle fabric type that were ony $11.88 (I bought 2 pairs).

I did buy the French terry ones on disneyshopping.com (I have the gray, blue, and pink; thinking of getting the aqua). They are great for lounging.

My legs are stubby, so I do have trouble finding capris that are short enough. I haven't had too much trouble at Walmart (the Disney ones are a bit long, but I roll the waist, and poof, good to go!)

I'm not really a big fan of Wal-Mart, but since they seem to have the lowest prices, I guess I'll go there.

I don't like the gaucho look either. It's fine on very young girls and teenagers who have like stick legs and no butt. But put them on a nearly 30 mom who has a giant butt like miine and you'd look really silly.

I'm wearing some I just bought last week, they'd better be!

I like them because they're a good in between casual look between pants and shorts. And NOT EVERYONE ..hello.. can and should wear shorts!! :scared:

I am 4'11" and the petites fit me fine.

I'm a melon--have anything for me? :teeth:

If you go to OldNavy.com, they have a wide variety of normal- and plus-sized pants to fit many shapes.

I also hope they are in because I wear them all the time too!!!LOL
I buy most of them at Old Navy, and The Limited. I have seen them in Target too.

They are so in, esspecially some nice cargos. They look great with a satin belt or scarf.
