Are BWV points still available from Disney?

Considering we're going to have 4 adults and 5 children with us next May/June, our best option is to purchase into BWV (The GV is HUGE!)

My question is: Does DVC still have BWV contracts/points available? Our second option is OKW for its GVs but I've heard DVC no longer has OKW contracts available. Anything small than GVs is going to be crowded.

Yes, I'm trying to purchase via DVC first. I feel we have a better chance with their financing than resellers. Then again, I'll never know unless I try.

BWV are sold out through Disney except for the occasional add on that current owners obtain through a wait list. Have you looked at the point costs for a GV?? You'd be better off with 2 -2 BR or a 2 BR and 1 studio are cheaper. IF you consistently want to GV then buy resale at OKW or BWV.

From what I read I think you are looking for a one time trip. DVC owners have their contracts for another 30 something years. What I believe you may want is to rent points for a trip. This can be done by visiting the rent/trade site on this website.

Your only option for BWV and OKW is a resale contract. Disney is not offering new memberships at either resort.

Since OKW and BWV are the only two DVC resorts on site that have the Grand Villa option, you will need to purchase resale if you want the 11 month booking window for a GV.

As mentioned above, as an alternative, you could reserve two 2 bedrooms or one 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. If you purchased BCV, your party would have access to SAB.

Some members "trade" points/reservations to obtain the 11 month window at a non home resort. (You make a BCV ressie for an OKW owner, who in turn, makes the GV ressie for you. You take car of any difference in points costs by a member to member transfer). Maybe something like that will work for you.
