Are Building Requests Worthwhile?

I made reservations 12 months in advance. The first hotel I booked...not only did I not get the building requested, I didn't even get into the hotel (not complaining, we got a free upgrade to AKL!). The second resort we didn't get the building requested either. Makes me wonder if asking is even worth it.

I got the building I requested at ASMo 4th of July week when the resort was sold out. :confused3

Folks have found that the extent to which requests get honored decreases with the number of requests made. After the first request or two, there just isn't enough flexibility left to honor all the specifics.

Remember, the Room Assignor at your resort won't even see the requests until about 5 days before you arrive. Until that time, the resort won't even see the requests.

I have usually had luck when requesting a specific building--except at the Carribbean Beach Resort--both times I wound up far away from my original request. Lately, I've just been requesting rooms near the food court.

Montblanc - Hi There! Disney upgraded your resort? :flower: How did that happen? :confused3 I have never heard of that - but then I am pretty new to these boards to hear this stuff! Did they call you or did you get all the way to your resort and then they had to move you? :moped: Just curious! Thanks! ::MinnieMo
