if not, what CAN you do with them?

Thanks. I made a ressie for someone and had to borrow about 40 points and now they don't need the reservation anymore.

Borrowed points cannot be transferred. If they are not used prior to the end of your current use year, they expire and are lost.

All you can do with them is make a reservation - for yourself or someone else. You can still use them for a non-DVC option provided you make the reservation at least 60 days before the end of your use year.

You could also make a deposit to II (for a future vacation), but you may have to add points to have enough for that.

Best wishes -

I see where you have a trip planned in Nov/Dec. If that trip is scheduled during the same use year as the points you have, you might be able to swap out current year points for the borrowed points. Then you can bank the current year points into the next year.

But if the trip is scheduled during your next use year, you wouldn't be able to do this.

One of the hazards of renting. If you can't use these points, you might withold money from the renter to cover the cost of the points.
