Hoping to save some long distance calls over spring break. What is the best way to call home or E-mail home, AOL etc? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think any of the hotels have computers available to use. There are some at DQ. If you don't have a laptop, I would get a phone card. Use it in the lobby of the hotel so you don't have to pay the $.75 charge that's added on to all calls made from your room.

First don't even touch the hotel phone! My 11 DD tried to call a couple of friends last fall to the tune of $50.00+ most of the calls didn't even go thru (no one answered) but there is still a charge(an outrageous charge) we were there 10 days and this all happened within the 1st 2 days, imagine if this would have gone on the whole vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are computers to rent at the convention center at BW and probably other locations, I think it was $10.00 for a 1/2 hour.

In future world at Epcot you can e-mail your picture with a short message for free, I can't think which pavillion it was though. You can check with the information center or ask a CM, they'll point you in the right direction.

The following resorts have convention facilities and therefore should have Business Centers where you could rent time on a computer to access the Internet: BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary, Coronado Springs Resort, Grand Floridian, and Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.

Your best bet to get the latest pricing for Internet access from a Business Center would be to call any of those resorts directly. And if you do, please post the info back here on the Dis.

At Epcot (Future World) in the Image Works Labs (between Journey into Your Imagination and Honey I Shrunk the Audience) computers are available to take and manipulate (if you choose) photos and then send them with a fairly lengthy message by email. You can send the same photo/message to 5 email addresses at a time plus it sends a copy to your email address. It's all do-it-yourself. You take your own photo (there are easy-to-follow instructions) and type the message. There are about 8 computers available and lines do form for them so you might have to wait a bit for one to open up. There is no charge to use the computers. I used them alot on my last couple of trips. Got some great photos too! Saved them to my hard drive when I got home and printed out a couple of them for the scrapbook.

I think there are also computers at one of the Innoventions but I believe a CM takes your photo and types in the email addresses where you want to send it and no additional message is allowed.

You can't check your email on the Epcot computers though. To do that you would have to do as suggested above and rent some time on a computer at a business center at one of the resorts or go to Disney Quest.

Any body else got any input ? Would like to know about this myself.

Disney should look into this.

Would like to use E-mail and load pics from my digital camera onto disk ect, but i dont own a lap top.

Great info to start with. I wouldnt doubt this starts to be more common with the digital and communication age expanding like it is. A PC in every room one day? Check weather, airline schedules, book dining reservations, CHECK PARK CAPACITY LEVELS REAL TIME, E-mail, download digitals, do your taxes (OK maybe not)-where do you stop? Maybe eliminate it all so we can escape from this mad world? I jus got to thinking work may get a hold of my room and E-mail me. NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have used the pc's at the business centers at the Contemporary, Y&B and Grand Floridian. We access Ebay and AOL mail. The charge was $10 per 15 minutes of use. Their pc's have aol, so it didn't take long to long on, check mail and access Ebay within the 15 minutes. We are pin traders that don't have a laptop, but need access to Ebay while on vacation.
