Are all the MK fast passes now tied together?

I had been told in the past that certain Fast Pass machines were on a different loop from other Fast Pass machines.

For example we had been told that the Haunted Mansion machine was in a different link than say Splash Mountain. Now I think the machine is gone from HM, right?

Are the rest of the machines linked or are a few still separate?

I've heard that it is Disneyland (not DisneyWorld) that have certain fast pass machines that are on different systems. I'm not sure though, just passing along secondhand info!

Thanks! Does the Haunted Mansion still have a fast pass machine? I thought I read somewhere just this week that it was gone.

I think the Jungle Cruise's is still different than the rest. I might be wrong.

Thanks Len! :earboy2: We will have to check it out in a few more days! :cool1:

I was there 2 weeks ago and tried to get a Jungle Cruise FP before my FP window for Splash expired. It was 5 minutes early to be exact. The FP machine at JC was not happy with me and would not issue the FP.

The fastpass machines and signs are covered up at HM. Sounds like the rumor of them being removed is pretty likely. One possibility is moving them over to the Speedway.

Dawgsgirl, I think it works the opposite way. If you get a FASTPASS for Jungle Cruise, you can get a FASTPASS for any other attraction five minutes later. I can check it out next week and post results.

Thanks for the tip Len! Be interesting to see how it works out for you. Have a great trip!

As far as I know, each ride has its own fast pass next fetch time, depending on how busy it and the park is.

If you actually get a fast pass from Jungle Cruise with a next time of five minutes later, you can get a fast pass for Space Mountain five minutes later. Meanwhile somebody else who got a fast pass at the same time from Space Mountain could come over and get a Jungle Cruise fast apss five minutes later seemingly in violation of his next fetch time. If everything is working properly the next fetch time actually printed on your "second" fast pass will not be earlier than the next fetch time on your "first" fast pass even though the "second" fast pass matures much much sooner.

SeaShore I have only one question for you....how do you get from Jungle Cruise to Space Mountanin in under five minutes? :confused3 :rotfl2:

As Len infered there used to a "glitch" in the system and a few attractions were affected by it.

I will see what I can figure out next week! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc

I actually "tested" this on two different occasions last year. During the April Spring break -- at an *extremely* busy time of year, you could get a FP for Jungle Cruise or HM five minutes after you got one at another attraction. It also worked the other way around -- you could get a FP at another attraction five minutes after you got one at HM or Jungle Cruise. If I recall correctly, I tested it once in the morning and it didn't work this way, but later in the day it did. (Ironically, the park was more crowded later in the day, so the fact that the "five-minute rule" applied didn't seem to be related much to the crowds -- perhaps the fact that it didn't work earlier in the day was just a glitch in the system).

By the time I tried this again last June, however, this no longer worked, and I don't believe it has worked since. The Jungle Cruise FP machines now seem "fully connected" to the others. It will be interesting to see if Len verifies that this is still the case. Note that the June crowds were definitely lower than April, so the change in policy didn't seem to be related to how crowded the parks were.

Perhaps I can't actually get from HM to Space Mountain in 5 minutes but I think I have done it in less than 10.

I don't remember exactly what combinations I have tried but here is an example, times are as best as I can recall:

Got fastpass for Space mountain at 10:00
Come back at 12:30
Next fastpass at 12:05 (the maximum interval)

Tried for faspass at Jungle Cruise at 10:40. Succeeded.
Come back at 11:15
Next fastpass at 12:05.

Note that the next fetch time for fastpass #2 is not right after the come back time as you would expect. Also note that the next fetch time for fastpass #2 is exactly the same as that for fastpass #1. Thus the machines had to be interconnected.

^^^ SeashoreCM, how recently have you seen this kind of situation with Jungle Cruise, where you were allowed to get the FP earlier than what is printed on the FP you are already holding? Like I say, this (or something similar) worked for me last April, but not in June, and I believe I tried in November to no avail as well... (I might be wrong on whether I tried it in November tho...)

This has come up before. Almost exactly a year ago the switch was flipped applying the Fastpass rules to Jungle and Mansion. At MK you cannot get another FASTPASS until the one you are holding becomes valid or two hours later, which ever comes first. The only exception to that is if one of the 3 computers goes off line and that is relatively rare.

Things (the software in the fast pass computers) may have changed yet some more, and what I described might no longer be true. At the time I drew the conclusion that shortly after next fetch times were printed on fast passes, each ride had its own next fetch maximum which may or may not be overridden by a longer park-wide next fetch maximum.
