are they lol? is your man

Chris is impossible, I ask what would you like for Christmas, I get a shrug or an "I dont know" argh!! how does that help

Why cant you get a straight "I want this"?

So one and all what are you getting your other (better? ) halves this year?

So far Chris has got Jeremy Clarksons new book lol

i asked my brother what he wanted and he said a black leather wallet :) no problem i thought....but his VERY SPECIFIC requirements (press stud closure and zippped coin area) made it very difficult to find one :confused3

i eventually found one in house of fraser and ive warned him to just say i dont know when i ask him next year :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My DH never consciously knows what he wants so I spend all year listening to the clues! So far I've got him a USB turntable so he can put all his awful vinyl LPs onto the computer and I know he's going to love that - even if I don't... :rotfl2:

I guess i'm lucky, Gavin is very easy to buy for. If anything I get carried away. This is what I got him yesterday;

Hugo Boss Aftershave
X5 'cars' collectables with trading cards
Muse cd
Razorlight cd
Thorntons chocolates
A mixed bag of sweets - M&M's/Haribo/Maltesers (he has a very sweet tooth)
Trainers
Little Britain series 3 dvd
Lost season 1 dvd
Mens grooming stuff from Body Shop - Afterhsave balm/Shaving cream/Body wash

I could buy and buy for him but we set a max limit this year so I had to stop!

:sunny:

Jodie

Yep, they sure are Anna

I can't let you know what I've bought cos he sometimes reads the threads, but I've bought him some bits and pieces, just not his main pressie - so he's gonna end up with $$$

Mandy :)

Anna ~ Was the telly on when you asked him? Normally whenever the telly is on everything is voided out if you are a man. You could go up to say "I'm leaving" and he'd probably just say "OK, bring back some milk on the way back". :lmao: It's worse with video gamers like me as my mum has found out when she tried to tell me where she is; I just forget 5 seconds later!! :rotfl:

Whilst I can't give you much advice on this being a man myself, my reccomendations is just to get him to make a list of what he wants and Let him do it at his own pace and give him a deadline on when to do it. That way, it's more a "Work" thing then a "House" thing. It's what we do at our house and things work out pretty much OK by christmas time. Although, it's often us wanting to make lists and us getting restrictions on when we can do it. :teeth:

If that doesn't work, get him a lot of rubbish presents this year and then say "This is what you get if you don't listen to me". :rotfl2:

DH wanted me to buy him a Macbook for Christmas but could not wait so bought it himself this week! I have just ordered him an Apple cinema display for Christmas!

As long as it has an Apple symbol and beeps he will be happy! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'd rather concentrate on what to get others so I'm the same as Chris.
Any present I'd like I would not ask anyone to spent that amount of money so Diane and her family don't get any clues from me :teeth:

Scott isn't too bad, there's generally some CDs or books he wants. My borther in law on the other hand is a total nightmare! I asked my sister what he wanted and she told me to buy him an ink cartridge for the printer!! What kind of present is that???

DH went out and bought his own Xmas presents today....... :confused3

Apparently DD and I just have to wrap them now :)

DH said to me the other day 'i would like the new game Need for speed' So i go and have a look at it. Later that day i mentioned the game and he said 'Don't go buying me any computer games for christmas??? I have a few ideas but he reads the boards so i can't say what they are :)

DH isn't too bad its just that with his b'day on Dec 16th it's a bit of a pain.
I suggested an MP3 player for Christmas and he chose and bought one (he gets a discount in certain electrical stores ;) ) Other than that DVDs, books and the usual.

Molly wants to buy him a cyberman helmet but I don't think we will be!

Now my Dad is a nightmare - I've given up buying him anything that requires any effort as it just sits there. :confused3 I bought him a box set of the West Wing in 2003 for his birthday and I know he hasn't watched it yet (just saving it :furious: )

They certainly are. We always ask each other what we want and that way we are not disappointed on Christmas Day.

This is what Tom is getting:-

Hope so Reid, DH does alot of travelling with his job. Thought this would keep him occupied sitting in the departure terminal :thumbsup2

I have not got a clue what to buy Mark this year. I usually spend between £200 to £500 depending on what he wants but this year he won't give me a clue other than he does not want any of those "days out" or holiday type presents. I was thinking of the British Grand Prix but this will be classed as a day out. He has all the consules as I usually buy these but PS3 is not out until next year. I really am at a loss. Can anyone help?

Phil is pretty easy to shop for, he loves movies, reading and wine so you can't go wrong with any of these.

This year, bless, he got organised and I was presented with a 'list' of items (it must be cuz i'm shaped like Santa Claus! :lmao: ) so I have a good idea of what he'd like.

My dad however is a nightmare. This is our annual Xmas chat:

Me: "Dad what do you want for Christmas?"
Dad: "Nothing, don't spend your money on me"
Me: "Dad I want to buy you something, is there anything you need?"
Dad: "I don't need anything, save your money, you spend too much"

Then Christmas day comes and God help us if we haven't bought him something nice!!!! Totally high maintenance and in complete denial. But I love him anyway ;)
