Are All Men Hard To Xmas Shop For?

They certainly are. We always ask each other what we want and that way we are not disappointed on Christmas Day.

This is what Tom is getting:-

Archos AV500 - 30Gb Pocket Video Recorder

Dribble...Drool.

It's very simple for me....if people can't think of what to buy me, a bottle of malt whisky will always be gladly accepted.

Good choice. I like a malt as well, although not one that I have previously tasted :goodvibes

DH isn't too bad its just that with his b'day on Dec 16th it's a bit of a pain.

Your DH and mine have the same birthday!

Totally agree its a pain! DS's b'day is also in December and both guys have no idea what they want :confused3 I wonder if I should suggest I buy them something in Orlando :thumbsup2

It's easy. I just buy what I want and then give it to DW to wrap. By the time Christmas comes around I've forgotten what I've bought anyway.

My dad however is a nightmare. This is our annual Xmas chat:

Me: "Dad what do you want for Christmas?"
Dad: "Nothing, don't spend your money on me"
Me: "Dad I want to buy you something, is there anything you need?"
Dad: "I don't need anything, save your money, you spend too much"

Then Christmas day comes and God help us if we haven't bought him something nice!!!! Totally high maintenance and in complete denial. But I love him anyway ;)

That sounds exactly like my dad

Well this year we're cutting back a bit as we have Florida to pay for and would rather have more money to spend there but we'll still be getting a few things each :goodvibes So far i've asked for a few DVDs which he's already bought me from Play. I'm not that hard to buy for IMO but Steve insists he needs me to make a list *sigh* was hoping for a surprise or 2!
So far i've got him some clothes I think he'll like (T-shirts, hoodie, boxers) and i'll probably get him some Lush bits too. He wants the Lost action figures that will be out soon but I think his parents are getting him them.

I'm easy to shop for.

A gift certificate at my favorite bookseller's is always welcome!

I'm genuinely scared by the amounts of money we all seem to spend on each other! Are my family and friends total cheapskates? Me and Scott have a limit of £30 this year for pressies for each other! I added up ALL the presents I'm buying and I doubt I'll break £200 (that's too much anyway) and I can see people spending more than that on one person!

My DBF always wants DVDs/Playstation games or some sort of gadget. However, this year he has announced he would like a Darth Maul double ended light sabre  (He's 32)
