Are ALL hamburger buns whole wheat now?

Merita is a brand of IBC. Some of IBC's more commonly known brands are Wonder Bread and Hostess. When I think of healthy breads, I really don't think about IBC brands.

Here's the link to the ingredient list for the buns you speak of. These aren't the buns used in Disney, because this link to a Disney Press Release says the new buns have 10% whole wheat flour. See the next to last paragraph in the heading, Paying Attention to Nutrition.

One of my (many) quirks is that I hate sandwiches that fall apart. I used to cry about it when I was a boy. Now it just annoys the hell out of me. Unfortunately, I seem to have passed this same quirk down to my son. So we'll probably stay away from the burgers and dogs at Disney for a while. But this explains the problems we had when we grabbed hotdogs on the way out of Magic Kingdom last year. I thought they were just stale.

I do a lot of the shopping and most of the cooking in our house, because I enjoy it. My wife knows not to buy bread because it makes me complain so much. But I can pick out the crappy bread in the store. I'm sure even the bakers know they're not creating the best product. Most buns will be sliced completely through the roll, because the crumb lacks the strength and flexibility to bend and open up at the hinge -- it would just crumble.

I'd welcome a healthier alternative to white bread. 100% Whole Wheat or some fractional part wouldn't bother me at all. But, the bun has to stand up long enough to allow the sandwich or sausage to be eaten. The whole point of a bun is to stay together to facilitate the eating of the meaty, cheesy goodness inside, no?

I thought these buns were new, new. Searching google agian I discovered this changed occured as far back as April of 2008. With that said I have eaten them. Any yes I remember the hot dog bun splitting into two and I also thought it was a tad bit old because it was at the end of the night. We grabbed a hot dog from Casey's Corner. With that said they were not that bad. Yes, it did fall apart but not so bad we could not eat our food. I also had a burger from Peco's Bill and really did not notice the difference to be honest. Also, please note where is says "Disney is working with manufacturers to reformulate recipes for candy, packaged food and bakery items sold in the parks, or identifying replacement products. " With that said I am sure we would have to contact WDW for the actual ingredient list and manufacturer. I found references to Sarah Lee when I did a search not this other company btw.

Also, keep in mind it is free dining right now. So people did not pay thousands of dollars to eat at WDW. In fact, they paid nothing in regards to food!

We do not participate in free dining but pay full price for our food for a variety of reasons.

Different things bother people. What one person finds silly annoys someone else. I see nothing wrong with people voicing disappointment over a menu item and don't see why that annoys others.
