I prefer the "shoestring" type. Not a big fan of the "wedge" or "fat" fries. Are they all the same at WDW? Any recommendations for a crispy, thin frenchfry?
Earlier today I commented on another post that this past summer my wife and I ate at Sci-Fi at MGM Studios and they had changed there fries to shoestring type fries. Personally, I liked them the way they were before, but everyone has their own taste. On my recent post I asked if they have changed to the old fries or if they are still serving the shoestring type. I have not received an answer yet. I will let you know as soon as I get a response.
They have McDonald's fries which are shoestring at Restaurantosaurus, Petrifies, and Sunaulo Toran Fries in AK, Fairfax Fries in MGM, Refreshment Port in Epcot, and of course the McDonald's in DTD.
I'm also a big fan of fries. Most of the fries served there aren't really shoestring, with the exception of the places that sell the McDonald's fries. They aren't what I'd call "fat" either, maybe a nice medium size is the best way I'd describe them. All of the CS restaurants I went to served the fries very hot, fresh and nice and crispy with not too much salt. Very generous portions too.
They differ between the counter service places. Most CS have the thicker ones but I've seen skinny ones at Caseys at Pecos Bills at the MK. Flame Tree BBQ has ones that are similar to Boardwalk fries and they are seasoned and have cheese on top.. mmmm
I like McDonald's the best but I remember being pleasantly surprised by the Fries at Casey's, they weren't as skinny as Mickey D's but close, and they were pretty crispy and tasty.
