My only concern, Disneyholic, is if your primary reason for going on the
Disney Cruise is the adult clubs, as you stated, then there might be a better alternative you could find for your family vacation. First of all, kids aren't allowed in the adult clubs. Second, there are probably bars in your home town that prohibit smoking, and their is no need to go on a cruise simply to go to an adult night club. The Disney Cruise is an overall experience, filled with wonderful magic, theatre, food, incredible service, vista spa and excursions on the island. Generally, the night club action is a very small percentage of the time spent on the cruise. I've never noticed any smell of smoke in any of the rooms, nor had any problems encountering smoke on the decks. And I would not consider the
Disney Cruise Line to be "small" for the amount of smokers on board. I can understand if you cannot stand the smell of smoke on an individual, but I would trust you run into that same delima in any of your day to day travels or restaurants. I think anyone who cannot tolerate smoking (and I understand those who are, or who have medical conditions that it aggreavates) should not attend any vacation where smoking will be present, if it is that bothersome. Cruises cost too much to "not enjoy". If smoking is going to ruin all the wonderful things the cruise has to offer, there is no sense in making yourself, or the kids, miserable. Perhaps I am just a very "unobservant" person, but it has never been an issue to me. And the fun we've had as a family has been incredible, along with the service! Nothing could keep me away from the Disney Cruise Line! (and that hasn't meant things have always been perfect. But overall, it has been a wonderful and magical experience).
