Are all characters "signing" with stamps at MGM?

This is good info... thanks guys. on my first trip in the 80's i could only barely read (had just turned 5) , and when i went to DL last year and the year b4 i didn't think of getting autographs. this coming trip (wdw jun/july 06) however i think i will cause i have digital camera now and can match the photos to the sigs each night, so i know which ones i definitely have to print.

The most recent things that we have seen is the Incredibles and Buzz using the stamp. We didn't see Woody so I am not sure about him.

The only stamp I got last time was Buzz. Sully and Mike didn't sign or stamp (even though there was only 3 of us in line). Don't mean to jump in this thread, but where can I find the Incredibles? I would love to get thier sig.

I personaly found them in antimation building in MGM but I understand they now hang out in lobby of time keeper in MK.

The reason why most characters stamp rather than sign is because they are not "officially" Disney characters, but are rather licensed by Disney to appear in the parks while still retaining copyright with their original owners. Example: Woody, Buzz, and the other Pixar characters are co-joined by Disney and Pixar. Kermit & Miss Piggy are owned by Jim Henson. I would imagine that the Star Wars characters when they are out during Star Wars Weekends would follow the same procedure as they are owned by Lucasfilm.

This is what I heard.

My dd's have met Jessie from Toy Story a few times at MGM and she hand signs (no stamp).

I think its just a matter of the type of costume. The hands have to hold the pen, autograph book and the head also has to provide enough vision so the character can sign properly.

I agree with this theory. We just got back and both Jessie and Woody hand signed our autograph book.

The only one I've seen stamp was Buzz and that was at MK.

The Star Wars Characters all sign (except Artoo, who just followed my wife around), so that kills that theory too. (Oh, and don't let Darth Vader see Anakin's signature, he'll throw your book on the ground)
