I understand that kids and adult credits are separated, but are all the adult credits pooled? Meaning if I have some extra say CS credits can someone else in my party use them?

Anyone? I'm probably missing something, but I don't think the answer to this is up to interpretation. I know you can't use kids credits for adults. But can you use adult credits for anyone in the party?

The meals are not assigned to individuals.... If there are 2Adults, and 1 child, and your there for 5 nights, assigned to your card is 10TS adult credits and 5 TS child credits, 10 CS adult credits and 5 CS Child credits, and 15 snacks i believe... Any adults can use any combinations as they see fit... If you wanted all 10 TS in 2 days you could.... hope that makes it clear... any adult can use any of the credits at any time they see fit

I know that you can do this. When DH and I go this month, he'll be golfing every day. I already warned him to be careful or I'll eat my credits and his! I checked with Disney Dining, and it's allowed.

All regular credits are available to all guests on the reservation, 10 years old and over; all child credits are available for use by all children on the reservation, 3 to 9 years old.

CS credits are not separated. As long as you don't exceed the # of adult CS credits on your card at one time, you can use them for whomever you choose. One day, we got 3 CS meals and shared between the 5 of us. Other times, I ordered a child meal, so my DD9 could get the adult meal. But if everyone is eating at the same time, you can only order the # of adult and child meals as is listed on your card. Hope this helps.

Do keep in mind, though, that you're still not allowed to use more adult credits than you're allocated, so if there are 2 adults and 2 children in the room for five nights, you're still supposed to limit yourself to 10 adult CS meals, maximum.

last year I heard the computers could not tell the difference between adult and childrens ts and cs so really it did not matter what counter you ordered. I had 12 counter service credits so I could order any 12 meals.
does anyone know if that is true for this year?
thanks

Sorry, but no. The rules are very clear:

So if I understand correctly, I can pay OOP for maybe two out of the six adults in our partyus if we order something small then use those extra two credits for any adult in our party another time?

Yes -- you should be able to do that.

We went in 2005 and ordered less adult meals then there was at the table as long as it wasn't a buffet where one per person is required. I am assuming that is still applicable. That is how I stretched our credits for a meal that required 2 .

But how does this work if you go to CS that does not have children's meals? It would throw off the entire concept of nights vs people = # of adult and kid credits. What if DD5 and I eat at a place with no kid's meals? 2 adult credits will be used? And DH is off somehwere else with his 1 adult credit. How does this affect our pool?

Don't worry about the so-called pool. If you're using the Dining Plan the way it is intended, you won't have a problem.

here is a question -

we are having our neice and nephew stay in our room, so their meals will be on our card - however, they are leaving with their parents a day early - so, can the grandparents who are visiting for a day use the 2 extra credits when we all go out to dinner? like we would treat them to a meal?

thanks!!

Not unless the grandparents are also part of that hotel reservation:
