Are AAA or AP rates better?

Which are better AAA rates or AP rates. Making a trip in Jan. for about a week. Not sure if we will be back for a while though.

AP rates are definitely better than AAA.

With new bestrate program approximate savings over AAA: CSR $14.49 per night, Poly $26.75 per night.

We found the same thing. The 14.00 difference was not enough for us to book Best Rate at this time. We are still waiting on SW to release dates, so we are booked at AAA to have some flexibility. We will then hopefully switch to Best Rate after our flights are set.

For my trip in December I will pay $2 more with my AAA rate then the AP best rate program at a value resort.

I will pay the $2 more for some flexibility.

Thanks for getting back to me everyone. It is all so confusing. We're going right now in Jan. I was just curious. The tickets are already expensive so it seemed like it might make sense to purchase the AP, but my plans may change so AAA might be worth it too.
