Are 7-10 day passes available?

I can do 10 consecutive days easy. It is a lovely way to visit the parks

People tour differently. One AP year I had a total of 18 separate days in the parks and I've visited before and after and I still haven't done everything there is to do in the parks. We've had an 8 night stay and were sad to leave (and we hit the parks every day).

I think DLR is ridiculous for not selling longer tickets.

It's so true that people tour differently. We have had our APs this year since early February. We have already been on 28 trips in just under 5 months. That being said, that many consecutive days would wear me out. By day 3 of our "long" trips, I am exhausted and ready to go home and sleep for 5 days straight to recover.

We were hoping they would be selling longer tickets again but we have decided to hit DTD on arrival day and goofy's kitchen for dinner. Well get some Disney atmosphere without wasting a day in the parks.

I'm from Australia and have used the 10 day pass. They do ask for a passport for each person to prove that you are eligible for the pass, so I wouldn't risk it.

I have used the 10 day pass every year for the past 3 years the only ID I've shown when I've picked up our passes at the ticket booth was my Australian drivers licence never had to show everyone's passport

Get a deluxe AP. the discounts on food and merchandise will make up for the price difference.

We always spend 5 days in the park and even then we don't get around to doing everything. But doing everything isn't the goal, we wan't to have fun and that means going on some things multiple times and other things once or not at all. We never go with the goal of doing "everything".

There is a $234 difference between a 5 day hopper and a deluxe AP. With a 10% discount, you'd need to spend at least $2,340 on food and merchandise just to break even for one person. Plus then you'd have to worry about block out days too.

But there is almost no difference between a 5-day hopper + 2 day hopper and a deluxe pass. The OP said they wanted 7 days.

Oh right. Yes, if the OP was going to purchase admission for each day of their stay, and weren't going to have any blockout days as part of their trip, a deluxe AP would definitely be the way to go :thumbsup2

In the past (it's been at least three years), I've taken my 5 day PH to City Hall and upgraded it to a 6 day by paying a pretty small amount per ticket (maybe $10). Is that no longer allowed?

We recently booked and asked both Airmiles.ca and the DisneyLand Travel Co., and both confirmed that there are no more 7 day DLR passes. We ended up getting a 5 day from Airmiles.ca and a 1 day from DLTC (as well as a 1 day Knotts pass).

I should clarify, there are no more 7+ day passes available in Canada (there used to be). We just get a 5 and a 1, and spend an extra day in DTD and at the hotel.

Hasn't been allowed for the last 2 years or so :( That's essentially what we did on our first trip too, when we couldn't buy a 7-day pass. But, alas, with all the ticket scams, they ended longer tickets. (Soap box time: Now that they take our pictures the moment we walk in, I think they should do longer tickets again. But, that's just my 2 cents, and it doesn't really affect me, since we do Military Salute tickets.)

18 days a year not ridiculous but if you were to 18 consecutive days I have a feeling you would not want to go back for a long time I am as diehard Disney as the next person but that is a lot of consecutive Disney!

I bought an AP in January, spent 11 consecutive days in January, 5 in May and will spend 9 in October. Didn't get sick of it for a second. My feet would disagree with me!!

I don't think its about people renting their tickets out anymore. Like you said, they take a picture and associate with a ticket, so renting the ticket on craigslist is no longer an issue. I think its about DL selling more AP and making more money. In the past when they allowed people to add a few days on the end for a small fee, DL executives probably felt they were leaving money on the table.

I agree it's about the money, as it is with any business.... I'd be interested to see the actual numbers (that is, how many people were adding an additional day at $5+ [I think that was the price to add a 7th day when we were there in 2011], versus the increase in APs since doing away with the ability to add days)... We know that Disney won't ever release those numbers, though. So, here we sit pondering the reasons that are behind our favorite conglomerate's refusal to give US citizens longer tickets....
