Hi- I am thinking of taking my kids here and wanted to have any feedback on it. We were thinking of taking a cab instead of the Disney excursion. If any of you took a cab, do you remember how much it was? How long do you need there? Even those who took the Disney excursion I'd love to hear about your experience with that excursion. My kids are 11 and 7. Thank you

we took this tour a few years ago. We wouldnt do the ship excursion again. We would take a cab. We had fun at the gardens with the birds. The rest of the tour was driving around downtown nassau which can be very conjested with traffic. I would reccommend going but take a cab. Then you have more time when you get back to do other things on your own.

You should do it on your own. A cab was less then $10 each way. You will not want to stay as long as the tour would stay. An hour there is more than enough time to see everything. Go to their website to see the show time for the Flamingo show and make sure you get there in time for that.

Our family of 5 took a cab there and I think it cost us $20 (maybe we got ripped off?). My kids were 8,6, and 2. We really enjoyed feeding the lorakeets and the flamingo show. When we were done, the zoo's van took us back to port. We paid him around $20. Traffic was horrible coming back. We were back on the ship for lunch. My kids want to go there again but DH wants to try something else.

A taxi last March 2010 was $4.00 per person. If you ask at the gate they will call for a taxi for the return.

We spent about 2 hours, make sure to see the Flamingo show.
