Anyone bought tickets for these shows, just wondering when do you call to arrange when you would like to go, do you do it from the UK or wait till you get there, we will be going July

You should be fine doing either, rpbert1. If you wait until arrival you might find a discount coupon in one of several booklets found all around Orlando. But check their websites too, as they sometimes offer internet discounts.

Personly we found the Arabian nights very poor food, the show was ok.Not done dixie stampede but have heard good reports.
Have you thought about the disney dinner shows have found the food and shows are much better.
Paulh

thanks for the info.
Cleo, i was going to book with Maple leaf 2 adults and 1 child, tickets for both shows is $177 which i thought was quite good.
Paulh, we did the HDDR and SOA last July, and where very good, but looking to do different ones this year, have booked Shamu dinner for 18th July ,and hoping to do the one with the sharks at sea world as well, and doing the Laua at Royal Pacific Resort, plus some of the character dinners and Breakfast at Universal hotels.
At the minute we are not planning anything Disney this year, although this could change

Don't waste your money on Arabian Nights. If you need 2 choices then go for Dixie Stampede first and Medieval Times second. Dixie is a great all-rounder while Medieval Times has reasonable food and great show. The audience participation level at both is awesome! :thumbsup2

We enjoyed Arabian Nights ~ the food was nothing to write home about but at least it was hot and edible. We were very lucky and were amongst a few families that were allocated upstairs seating in "proper" chairs! However I would only recommend going to see this show if you are a horse lover and then it is a must-see.

We booked the Dolly Parton show with Virgin when we got there and as Virgin Guess you get priority seating which were two front rows.
The food was great, Service was Great and would recommend it.:cheer2:

Another vote for Dixie Stampede. We did it in December so got the Christmas version which was very well done but would preferrred to have seen the 'proper' show as I had heard many good reports. The pre-show juggler/comedian was excellent very family orientated am still in awe of his golf club/golf ball balancing act.

Also throughly enjoyed the Disney Spirit of Aloha show, the food was great, dancers and fire eater were excellent and it was nice to eat in the semi outside on New Year's Eve!

We personally had a really bad evening at Arabian Nights. The food was reallty poor and thankfully as experienced US travellers we didn't give in to the pressure from the server for a big tip (He was really poor too). They really press you for money from the second you get in there for photo's etc.

This was as minor compared to the show. We left feeling really upset as the animals really looked like they were forced to do the show rather than wanting to do it (As anuimal lovers you can tell from a distance if they want to it). We would highly recommend staying away from this show (with knobs on).

Lots of firends have done Doolly'#s amnd speak very hightly of it - we are to try this one soon.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but we didn't enjoy Dixie's Stampede at all.

Okay, the event was good - but seriously, it was over way too quickly.

The show started at 6:30pm and ended at 7:50pm and that disappointed us.

The Pirates Adventure was much better and more entertaining.
