Aquatica-water shoes or flip flops?

Are water shoes the way to go? If we use flip flops I'm assuming you have to take them off for each ride and then go back and retrieve them which sounds like a pain.

Water shoes are much easier.

Water shoes stay on your feet more securely, and you can wear them on all the slides and pools.

This August I went to Aquatica and the temps in the wavepool thermometer read 100 almost all day and my cars thermometer had 103,by 11am-noon the floor became like lava so I had to buy a pair of flip flops which I carried with me all day,it wasn't too bad I just wore them until it was almost time to ride the slides,then I just tied them up to the cord on my swim trunks.Obviously water shoes would be easier so I would go with them.

If you go during the hotter months do as the previous poster said and definitely wear something because the sidewalks are incredibly hot, we didn't and we regretted it. I still love Aquatica though...even if I did burn my feet!
