Of course my DDs were watching some show last night and saw a commercial for this stuff. Does anyone know the website to order it? I didn't write it down thinking I would just google it and of course I am having NO luck!

Thanks!! :santa:

I could SWEAR I had this stuff when I was small. Am I going nuts?

Don't the colors get all mixed when you try to get the sand out of the water?

My kids have moon sand and you really can only use one color at a time or you just wind up with one color. ;)

Never heard of aqua sand tho... sounds cool!

I know I had something like it, but it wasn't sand if I remember right.

I am sure it would get all mixed up...yet another overpriced thing they want ;)

If it's moon sand, I know it is the messiest stuff ever made! My sister got some for my DS--it made such a mess that I fibbed to him and said it was "recalled". I still feel guilty! Now that my DS is 6, he keeps asking me why they still advertise it when it's been recalled!

My sister in law gave it to our son and after we let him play with it outside a few times, we tossed it. Moon Sand is horrible!

I know what you are talking about, someone got it for DS a few years ago. It didn't last long though since I didn't like the wet aspect of it.

We do have moon sand and everyone hates it except us I guess! I put them in tin foil pans and just cover them up when not in use. I think it's great, and I love that it actually molds.

I never heard of Aqua Sand, but we love Moon Sand too. Yes, it can be messy, but I don't let the kids play with it near carpet, it's fine in the playroom though. Sweeps right up off the tile. The kids love playing with it, it molds so easy, they have a ton of molds they use and I love that it never dries out. I store it in old Cool Whip containers.

I had something like it when I was little, in the early 80's I think. It was in what looked like a jennie bottle with a top that had a whole in it to squeeze it out. I LOVED the stuff!!!! Played with it tons, but I had an unused aquarium and it was easy to fill, play and empty. It does get mixed together some, but I think I scooped out individual colors as much as I could with a spoon to keep them separate.

Now, Moon Sand as Bobby Boucher's mother would say is "THE DEVIL" Son got some for his birthday a few years ago and he didn't even like it because it would not do like the commercials for him. Taught him a valuable marketing ploy. To this day he still says "Mommy look at that stuff, it doesn't work like they show it does" He learned early commercials just try to get you to buy things, glad he learned it because he rarely asks for things from a commercial for b-day or christmas:thumbsup2

AC Moore has Magic Sand, pretty much the same product. They were made by the same company that makes Magic Rocks.

I remember the stuff from the 80s, too! I think it was called Magic Sand. I remember my parents HATING it!

OMG my kids saw it on TV last night also. hubby and I said said NO WAY! god I hated that moon sand. I can only imagine the mess from this latest craze..:rolleyes1

I remember this stuff! My really cool Aunt (the one with no kids) got it for my birthday. I thought it was awesome. We played with it at her house, but I don't remember ever having it at my own house. I wonder if it was so much fun that she kept it, or if my Mom "lost the set" somewhere. Hmmmm...... maybe I'll call Mom and ask about that. Maybe she can replace it for Christmas (35+ years later).
