Ap's from disney store trouble

Seems like some of the people at the disney stores are on crack.

A few weeks ago brought ap, today went to get another one(one for me, and one for wife),today, she says they have the AP's, but they cant sell them, she states that AP's can only be purchased at disney stores in florida for florida residents and that they don't do AP's anymore because of the magic your way tickets. My wife stated "If thats the case, then why do you have AP's?"(since the woman said at first that they did have them, she just didnt know how to ring them up), she then stated that their store "got them by accident".. GRRRR Anyone else have problems buying AP's at disney store recently?

I tried to buy them just before Christmas and they said the "system is down" so they couldn't sell them to me. I decided to just buy them from the WDW website (got them in the mail one week after ordering them! ) I think someone posted on another thread recently that the Disney Stores won't be selling AP's anymore as of Jan 2nd??

AP's and PAP's will no longer be sold at any Disney Stores. Florida resident Seasonal, Annual and Premium Pass Certificates will only be sold in Florida Disney Stores. They will still have to activated at WDW with proper ID, which would include Fl DL, FL state ID-issued by FL DMV, Florida voter registration card along with valid picture ID, Florida College ID or Military Papers stating the guest is assigned to a Florida base along with their military id. Any APs or PAP's purchased online, (since they are only certificates) will also have to be activated at the parks, and will require a valid DL or picture ID with valid DL that has no picture (like in New Jersey)

yeah, I thought it was strange though that they had them, she said they got 3 packs of them in, then suddenly stated that they are available only in florida for florida residents,and that disney itself isnt doing the ap's now because of the myw.. I was like "uhhh, no."

Disney stores are no longer officially owned by Disney, so the CMs there probably aren't exactly as "in the loop" as they used to be.

Actually we are still being called CM's and none of us are on crack in my store that I know of. Trust me we are no more in the loop or out of the loop than we were when we were owned by Disney. We get one memo one day telling us something and we get another one telling us something else, this is the way it has always been. We have AP's in the store because up until Jan 2nd we sold APs. This has nothing to do with the fact that we are not owned by Disney. We have not been owned by Disney since November and we still sold AP's. This has to do with the new tickets. We will still sell MYW tickets. I beleive Disney is just trying to push these tickets.
