We are going to be purchasing AP's for our next visit and have been checking recently what perks are available to pass holders - If those of us living here in the UK don't recieve the passholders newsletter how are we aware of any changes etc. that Disney decide to make, and also how are we aware of any of the spcial passholder events throughout the year. Do they send us an email instead of a letter snailmail? or can we look at the newsletter online to keep up to date?

I have also thought, does anyone know at what time of the year the prices for AP's are increased as would like to order my voucher before this happens to save a little money.

The only way I find out about special things are here on the DIS When you exchange your pass you will get a booklet showing your discounts.

I think there was a price increase this past June.

Hi there. There is a web site called themeparks.com that regularly publishes the Mickey Monitor (AP newsletter) information - normally a few days to a week after it is sent to US holders. The latest one is at http://www.themeparks.com/wdw/monitor0803.htm

I'm not sure about a price rise in June, Kaylee. The last one i'm aware of was last September, and this is usually when they have gone up in the past. Nothing says they *will* go up then of course, just that is when it has happened in the past.

There was a ticket price rise a couple of months ago (June?), but the price of APs were not increased at that time....all other tickets were.

Around that time I tried to purchase our APs from the Disney web site, but a pop up appeared saying that APs could not be sent to our country. I was re-directed to the UK Disney site, but of course they don't sell APs I e-mailed Disney and they confirmed that APs could not be ordered over the net from overseas. What a pity as the $ rate then was better than it is now.

I guess this must be a change of practice as I've read about others from the UK ordering APs in advance.....anyone know for sure?

I ordered on the phone as I was a Disney Club member I phoned the number on the card. They sent us vouchers which we redeemed at Guest Services

you can get them in advance, but you will need to phone 001-407-WDISNEY to order them, or if you have a disney club card, there is a number on the back and you get a discount (I think it's 10 or 15 %)

Thanks Bev I might well make that call....might save a few spondoolicks the way the $ is rising against the £.
