APs and Fast Passes

We are headed down in September and are looking at doing annual passes and plan another trip in August of 2016. If we pre-purchase the APs, is there a way to do fast passes for our trip or do we have to wait and activate the APs at WDW and then try to do FPs? I don't think the crowds will be too bad (Aug 30-Sept 6)? Any thoughts?

You will be able to link either the will call confirmation or numbers off the exchange vouchers (depending on delivery method selected) which will allow for advance FP+ selection.

I just did this over the weekend. I called and linked my AP Exchange Voucher to my MDE account. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to do this online yet.

In my case, I'm staying offsite, so I have to wait until 30 days out to do my FP+'s, but since you'll be onsite with DVC, you should be able to at 60.

I'll also had to do via phone this weekend... took them about 40 min to get it sorted. They did tell me that you will get new Magic Bands once your APs are activated (In addition to the Magic Banks for your resort stay, plus any leftovers from PY resort stays... all will work the same as long as your battery lasts). So, you can add to a collection of Magic Banks, if you already have one. The CM on my call suggested you should plan to get 1 of each color over time so you can always coordinate with your outfit.
