April Trip - AP Rates/Questions

Okay, we're thinking of making mid-April our next trip and we're going to purchase AP's. When do AP discounts typically come out for that time frame? Is it February?

Can you REALLY and TRULY book the room at the regular rate and if/when discounts become available apply the discount? I've had CM's tell me this couldn't be done, and I've had CM's tell me it could be done. Don't know who to believe and don't want any grief.

Well, I've done just that several times although it depends on availability of the rate at your resort. But I've usually had good luck if I'm patient....or call first thing first day. We do already have APs though but I guess that doesn't matter?

There was a thread yesterday about historical AP rates. If I knew how to link, I would!

No, I don't think it matters if you already have the AP or if you plan to buy it. I'm going to try to do it - and if someone says I can't - I'll keep calling back until I get a decent CM.

April 11th is Easter. Will they have AP rates around Easter? I thought during holiday season Disney typically does not do AP Rates. I guess just like the previous poster said, it depends on availability. I hope it works out for you.

This year Easter was April 20. There were no AP rates from April 10 to April 26. AP rates from 2/17/03 to 4/9/03 were released 1/27/03.

In 2004, Easter is April 11.
