I go to WDW on 3/12 and I pray the codes are out before then because I don't want to worry about checking every morning while on my Spring vacation. As problems go, though, I guess that's a pretty good one to have, huh?

Yes, I have two trips planned. When I talk about our trips, my husband gets confused and says "Now when are we talking about here?" We are going in March for Spring Break with my parents, staying at Old Key West, all set there. It's the JUNE trip that's freaking me out. Hubby has a conference in Orlando (of course I forced him to attend!) and I am trying to add on some nights. I am praying for good rates so my value/moderate budget can buy me a "deluxe!"

Someone earlier said that the "room only" codes will go off Monday???? Should I go ahead and book a "room only" code, then try to change it to "AP"? Am I totally confused about the whole thing???? OH yea we're going Memorial Day week. And also back the last week of Sept.

Team Mickey 5 Ap rates are room only rates. But they also sometimes have room only rates that are other discounts too, like they may put out some room only rates for certain states, or some that anyone can use. Just keep watching this thread and the resorts board and someone will post when a discount code comes out and what kind of discount it is. Good Luck!

Team Mickey...I already have my room booked at the YC at rack rate....I will wait anxiously with all these other DISers for a code, then call back and change the rate. When I called 3 weeks ago, the YC didn't have any standard rooms left....took a water view (which is fine)...but hoping with the rest for a good rate to bring down the cost.

Thank you for the help. We will keep watching. I've really enjoyed over the past couple of years reading the DIS posts. I have only been to see Mickey once myself. I think I had just as much fun or more than the kids.

Just as a side note...I checked my Disney Visa rewards page today and they extended the deadline for the Room only rate for the value resorts only until Feb. 11th. So maybe we'll get codes after that!

I just booked Polynesian Garden View for 5 nights in early June. At least I DID something -- all this waiting is killing me! The cm was so nice, siad I did the right thing -- "reserve the room then worry about the rate." With tax, the room was about $385 a night -- YIKES! Just hearing that gave me stress... C'mon AP Rates!

Currently booked our room FQ for our June trip with AAA rate, really hoping for the AP rate. That would be really sweet....

I am have a Savannah view room booked at AKL for 9 nights in June, our rate is $379.00. That includes tax and and extra $25.00 because DS is 20. I just got done doing our taxes, and if that rate does not come down we will be switching to a standard view room. We are only getting about 1/2 of what I was expecting for a return.

I still say if we book rooms with no AP rates then Disney will think those rooms are filled and will have no reason to issue AP discounts. Makes no sense from our end to book and wait for rates. And of course the CRO people will tell you to book, they want to fill rooms!!! sigh...

luvdzny, I bet you are in the same boat as many people. We are getting a decent tax refund, but we sure don't want to blow the whole thing on a room! I had originally wanted the AKL, but the rates were just too high because the "good rooms" with the animal views are SO expensive... Couldn't justify it when I realized that "garden view" at the Polynesian would be CHEAPER... The AKL is wonderful but the Poly is MY favorite and I know the kids will love it. So I am praying for a good AP rate so we can go there while hubby has his conference down the road in Orlando.

The CM who helped me today also checked on Disney Visa discounts. She agreed that new rates should come "any day now" because everything current is about to expire.
