Not for AP holder's. AP holder's are looking for a room only discount because they don't need park passes. AP holders have annual passes to get them in the parks.

sanbornangel I think you have that backwards, the more money you make the less you have to pay. So an admiral would pay way more than a private, because he makes way more. It is set up that way to help young military families afford Disney, an admiral shouldn't need any financial help.

Not for AP holder's. AP holder's are looking for a room only discount because they don't need park passes. AP holders have annual passes to get them in the parks.

Not all of us are AP holders. I'm waiting for a general or email code. Since I want to book the dining plan, an AP code won't work for us.

What sort of irks me is that special promotions for Disney Visa Card holders are dwindling to almost non-existent, unless you are a new member. When I went 2 years ago they were offering special rates for Dis Visa holders, I'm kinda doubting we'll see those this year.

ITA. We rarely use our disney visa for that very reason, as we have other cards that offer much better benefits.

Ya know what's funny? The only reason I have mine is just to show it off that I have a credit card with the disney characters on it!! I try not to use it either unless I absolutely have to! It would be nice to get a code from them or a general. I am not an AP holder and I already have tix leftover from a previous trip. I don't need a package, happy for those woh want it! What I need to do is book quickly now before Feb 23 so that I can get the hotel I want before everyone starts booking under the new code!

I just went to the site about the package starting 4-23. If that is it I'm sad. We're going March 15th and the best I could do was AAA. We want to buy 10 day passes to use again in 2 years and so the AP just didn't work out. I was really hoping to find a good deal for our timeframe.

So, does this mean that if you buy the MYW package that you buy the basic park ticket and then receive the park hopper option as a free upgrade? Or, does it mean the park hopper tickets will be completely free? Since the MYW package means you have to purchase park tickets & a room, then one wouldn't need the package, unless they wanted dining. Otherwise, the promotion would just say something "like book a room at a disney resort for 3 or more days and get free park hopper tickets."

I'm just trying to sort this out. What do others think this will mean? If it's just the free upgrade to parkhoppers, then would I be better off sticking with my orginal price with the AAA discount at a value resort? It think I saved around $150ish on an 8 night stay which is the same amount as a park hopper upgrade (and I can still save money on my tickets through ticketmania).

Thanks for the info...we are splitting a trip 5/9/06 - 5/15/06 between AKL and Poly w/ six day hopper and 3 nights dining. Every little bit helps. I also will keep that website for future info.

Just saw that possible new discount about free passes if you use the magic your way packages; but my question is for those with quick math minds, (not me) would I save more this way or likely more with an ap pass discount staying polynesian concierge garden view where I have the ap but my husband and 3 children need passes (16 yr old, 12, and 8)? thanks, Carolyn

Last year we stayed PLVC with AP discount in value season. I have an AP & for the rest of the family I purchase 10day premium non-expiring tickets thru ticketmania + I purchased the DDE card for 20% off meals. When I priced everything out after I saved about $800 doing it this way and we already have our tickets for our May trip.
