April Exercise Thread--Spring is here! No excuses to not get moving. :)

April tally - 808/2000

Adding 80 minutes of modified P90X workouts (30 minutes of Chest & Back, 50 minutes of Arms & Shoulders)

Going to try to get our for a short run later today - it is beautiful out there! :goodvibes

Hang in there Rose and don't beat yourself up. You are an inspiration to us all. I hope I get to run into you at the wine and dine. I know it would have to be at the after part. You are way faster than me. :)

Thank you.:goodvibes I ran 6.2 miles today with no walk breaks and ended up right around 12min miles. My achilles were not happy, but overall felt pretty good. We definitely need to take at least a sec to say hi sometime over that weekend. :)

I just have too much personal stuff going on that is sucking up my mental energies and messing with my workouts! ;) But I felt good about today's workout, so that's a start.

Ran my very first 5K this morning! Came in under 40 minutes for race time which I am very happy with as this is the first one and I was very sick but still did it!:cool1:

Total time with warmup/cool down, etc 50 minutes.

313/900

Congratulations! That's great.

Rose-- and nice job on your run

I am at 472/1000. Hadn't really planned to do much today, but wound up mowing the lawn and that took absolutely forever! How does it get sooo long so fast?! :confused3 Then just as I had about 1/3 left DH comes out of the house with the phone. A couple of girlfriends want to go for a walk! They said they would walk slowly to my house so I'd be done when they got there! Their timing was perfect and though I was sweaty, off we went!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Getting ready to update through post #168

not much to report. It's been a rough couple of days.

This morning I got up early, put on my headlamp and hit the road at 5:15 for a brief but therapeutic run.

Hope things are improving!

575/1200 nearly halfway!!

I need to speed up this month as I am going on vacation on April 28!

So proud of myself: I finished the full Phase 1 of Body Revolution. Did every single workout and feel so strong! Tomorrow is my rest day and then Sunday the new torture starts! I hope I won't just fall over my feet or something like that. The last workouts seemed pretty challenging already... But in the end I mastered nearly all of them.
Congratulations!:cool1:

Went for my longest run in a while yesterday. Got passed by the same runner on two different parts of town. This starting over business is hard on the ego. ;)

Well done!!

Weekend gained me another 90 minutes - 60 minutes walking and 30 minutes Body Revolution. First exercise of Phase 2. I realise that my resistance cable won't do. And this is the second one I bought. Mine are all too short... Have no idea where to get one from that works...

Anyway: 665/1200

Thanks for the notes on my 5K! I loved it, even sick, so I will definitely be doing more. Hoping to be ready for the 2015 Princess Half.

Just walking today, 40 minutes.

Hi everyone!! I am new to the dis boards but I am also trying to get back in shape and lose some weight before our trip to DW/Cruise in November I would like to lose about 30 pounds before then my husband is big into palo and has been for a few years now I just can't eat that much meat :worried: so I am trying a modified version of it I also just got an incline trainer so I can work out at home and not have to go to the gym if I don't want to or have time :)

tried something different today and did a track workout. I had to walk through snow to get to the track, but luckily the high school track team had shoveled off the track so it was usable.

I've failed at reporting in! This thread keeps me accountable. Thus far I've done 600/1500 minutes. Got a long way to go this month!
