April (Easter) or Early June?

I would pick June. Yes it's hot and humid with chances or rain storms in the day but it's not a wash out. I've been in June (first week) once and it was fun. We normally go in September so the best humidity and rain are comperable to June- and I've been in September and it only rained one day - so don't let rain scare you away. On the other hand it is hot and humid. I'm from MA and it doesn't bother me, but I have family
Members who can't handle the heat. So it's really up to what you can stand

I have done both. We went during Spring Break in 2012 and yes, it was busy but we had a plan and followed it and had no issue. I highly recommend a touring plan!! We only had one day where it rained for a very short time.
We were there in June 5-12 2015 (also used a touring plan) and the temps were warm but not unbearable. I was worried about the rain before we went but it only rained two different evenings. Crowds were low during the beginning of our stay and started to pick up towards the end but I think alot of that had to do with Star Wars Weekends.
We are also planning a trip for June 2017, most likely around the 5th - 10th. My favorite time to go is October but we are limited with my daughter in college and my sons visitation with his daughter.

We always go around the first week of June and we love it. Yes, it is hot, but we are from Alabama, so we are used to that. Yes, it usually rains for a short while in the afternoon, but we just plan an afternoon break around it. We have always found the crowds to very manageable. I would not hesitate to go in June.
