April crusin??

We are a group of 17(8adults,4 teens,4,10-12 year olds,and one lonely 8 year old male ) sailing on the Magic-April 13th! We are a fun group and looking forward to a great time! I am the Mom of the 8 year old and was looking for a friend he could contact by e-mail before we sail?? I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who will be on this cruise!! Joan S.

We are a party of 7 on the Magic, April 13th. My family includes two boys, ages 15 and 11. Also, both grandmothers and one grandfather (of our children, of course...) are coming along.

Hi Steve B. Great to hear from you! We are all from Barrington and I have a 14 year old son and another couple has a 12 year old son,the only other boy is my other son, the 8 year old. The rest of the "children" are girls. Lets see we have a 17 year old,she is mine, and a 16 year old,then a 13 year old and 2-12 year olds and a 10 year old. Ten of us did the Wonder 4-day in July of 2000 and loved it! My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on this cruise. We are set for early dining and have had this cruise booked since last March! Have you decided on any excursions ? Have you crusied with Disney before?These boards are a wealth of info! We have never cruised on either of the Disney boats, altho we sailed 3 times on the Big Red Boat. A number of years ago now. I have had my eye on the Magic since I saw - in a marine trade magazine - that she was going to be built. Ever since that time (probably two years prior to her being finished) I have wanted to cruise on this ship.
I cannot wait. We have had reservations for nearly a year.
What fun it is to know that we will have fellow Rhode Islanders aboard. We did not know of any other passengers. Our party of 7 is in 3 cabins. My parents (from Jamestown) have a second cabin, and my mother-in-law (from Providence) is in a 3rd.
As I said in my earlier message, we have one son 15 1/2 (come April) and the other nearly 12.
As for excursions, I have been researching comments about excursions for many an hour, for many months (my kids (and wife) kid me about this habit...), and the 7 of us will be coming to a decision - we hope - before 60 days before sailing.

Our family of 3 will be cruisin' with another family of 3. My DD will celebrate her 11th birthday on the ship. Her best friend is 10. We are all from CT. So, we're almost neighbors...

This will be our 2nd 7 day cruise. Don't worry about your son. The 8-9 yr. group is big in the lab & he will make lots of friends. The lab offers alot of cool activities for the kids. My DD loved it. The 10-12 group gets to go to Common Grounds, the Teens place- which they loved! I think that week will have alot of kids, as it's spring break for many schools around us, even though it's after easter.

On our last cruise my DD met a girl from RI & had the best time. They still email each other weekly.

Linda, great to hear from you! Thanks for the info! In our party there are 2-12 year old girls and 1 almost 10 girl. WE too have a birthday person,but she is not telling her age!! And my husband and I will be celebrating our 20th aniversary on the 17th! We honeymooned in St. Thomas and will be there on our actual anniversary! We are all getting very excited! Did you do any excursions last time? WE want to have everything set before we get on the ship!! I have picked up some great tips on this board,but welcome any info!
