I got the email this morning:

Dear Josh,
All of us at Disney Cruise Line hope you and your family are staying well.

Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our Guests and team members. We are carefully preparing for a return to service following the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As we continue to refine our protocols and await further technical guidance from the CDC, we are cancelling Disney Dream sailings departing through April 30, 2021.

We are offering affected Guests that have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit* to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022, or a full refund. The credit has automatically been added to your account, and can be applied as a payment option when booking a new reservation online. Guests that have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.

If you prefer to speak to someone directly, please contact a member of our reservations team at 1-866-325-6685 or 407-566-7797.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times. We look forward to welcoming you aboard as soon as we can and making magic for you and your loved ones.

Sincerely,

The Cast and Crew
Disney Cruise Line

I saw yesterday on their "specials list" there were not any April offerings.
Sorry your cruise has been cancelled.

Ours gave a date through May 12, 2021.

As we continue to refine our protocols and await further technical guidance from the CDC, we are cancelling Disney Wonder sailings departing through May 12, 2021.

I got the same email you got. Strange that the OP got a different email

So that puts the Wonder starting in Alaska...with no money making cruises to get her there.

That doesn't bode well for Alaska IMO, not that I thought it did before.

Not just Alaska, but the entire west coast season, IMO. I was hoping that the October cruise I booked would give enough time for the cruise lines to figure out COVID, but I think that the financials will be what kills it.

Honestly kind of glad. I had a crap ton of money tied up in a vacation I knew I wasn't going on which is grim. Anyone know how long it takes the refund to post back on a credit card? 7 days?

Typically 7-10 days and will come in multiple credits if you were PIF. I just canceled and my deposit was credited back in 7 days.

About time DCL moved the "use by" date for those credits. I'm starting to wonder if our March 2022 cruise is even going to go and if it is, whether the U.S./Canadian border will be open so I can get to port.

It’s great. MSC cruises is waiting 60 days and then orders the refund... Which can take up to two weeks. I cancelled a month ago and I’ll get my refund in the beginning of March they said.

The border isn’t closed.
The border isn’t closed.

Um yes it is. The land and sea borders are closed to all non essential travel. Entry to Canada by air is limited to only certain groups.

I suppose technically Canadians can enter the US by air but as the PM warned could at this time fave difficulties getting home and they are subject to an14 day quarantine upon return.

Air is still open.

It’s not really « limited » either... For now. Tons of people here went on vacation during the holidays (Mexico, Cuba, Florida, Caribbean). They are being asked to quarantine but authorities didn’t really check on them so some people did break quarantine.

It made a lot of headlines in our area at the beginning of the year.

Our PM has been litterally begging Trudeau to act before spring break in order not to repeat last years’s fiasco.

Port Canaveral not expecting any cruises in or out of there before July. https://www.floridatoday.com/story/...illion-loss-no-cruises-until-july/6698008002/
Yup I guess the writing was on the wall. I'm trying to make a vaccine appointment for my 87 year old mother and that's not happening any time soon. The local Veterans hospital called me to standby for my vaccine but I'm not holding my breath so what about the general population? This seems like it is going to be a long wait.

Like I said, the US has not been preventing people from flying into the US from Canada. People returning are legally required to quarantine and are subject to very large fines/possible jail time if caught. Local health officials and law enforcement are responsivlePeople who do not live in Canada or who are not citizens can only enter if they are an immediate family member. The border has never been ‘closed’ to Canadian residents and citizens coming back into Canada.

it has been very strongly hinted that those quarantine rules are about to get stronger.
