April 8th, 2012: WONDERful Mexican Riviera!

This will be our 3rd MR cruise but it will be the first time we are getting off the ship. I have the kids signed up to do the Dolphin Kids excursion on the 2nd Cabo day.

we are doing canopy adventure in PV.....With the recent news of a cruise tour being robbed in PV is anyone changing plans?

In Cabo no plans,.... wave runners, parasailing, shoping, taco truck searching, tequlla drinking beach bums, the only solid plan is to get back to the boat on time.....of course Cabo would not be a bad place to be stranded.....the boat comes every week right...?

We were on the same cruise last year but it was a 10 day. In PV we did the Pirate sail and LOVED LOVED LOVED the day. :)

I would do it again, but decided to try something new.

Oh very cool!!! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed it :thumbsup2 I know my DS is very excited about it.

Oh, DH and DS did a tender ride at the park last Saturday. I asked them if Engineer Cliff was on the train but they said no, they thought it was someone else this time. But then DH said that DS was telling them about our upcoming cruise and one of the engineers did say that his daughter has been on a Disney Cruise (so maybe it was him, LOL).

I've been reading it but I don't think we will change our plans. But then I don't think we ever leave the dock area in PV (get off one ship, get on another, LOL). It is really sad to hear about it though, with them already having such a hard time with cruises to Mexico.

Hey, It's March......

Question: in our past sailing we took quarters for laundry. Is that still the norm? I heard the laundry used the KTTW. Can any one confirm?

So little time....so much to do! I can't believe this board is so quiet, when our boat is so full! We had so many people in our Alaska exchange...Looking forward to meeting everyone soon...did we decide on a place and time?

I know, I'm surprised by how quiet it has been also. I'm still excited about the FE (even if it is a small group, LOL) and have gotten my gifts almost completed.

Nope, we haven't come up with a meeting time/place yet. Anyone have any suggestions? I know Socababy said it would be hard for them to join on the first day so maybe the next day would be better (since it is a sea day anyway)?

I can't believe that we are this close to cruising and I have done nothing! Well, I've been shopping for clothes and shoes - but that's kind of a given!;)

In regards to DCW's question about changing plans for PV...
we are considering changing our plans. We have booked the Yelapa & Majahuitas trip but we're just unsure as to just how "secluded" the area is. I don't generally scare easily when it comes to travel, but now that my daughter is a fellow traveler...I'm thinking a little differently. We're not canceling anything at this point - just trying to find out as much as I can.

We're going to be getting on the ship before we know it!:dance3:
I can't wait!!!

I briefly searched for answers to my questions but couldn't find a recent navigator. Do we have 1 formal and one semi formal night? And is pirate night on Thursday night? I am starting to mentally pack! :thumbsup2

This is what I am guessing from the other threads I found

SUN CASUAL
MON AT SEA-- FORMAL
TUES AT SEA-- CASUAL
WED PV --CASUAL
THURS CABO --PIRATE
FRI CABO-- SEMI-FORMAL
SAT AT SEA-- CASUAL

We have a late seating this time which is a first for us but early wasn't available. When is your seating?

That is what I have in my notes also (from reading Navigators that people have posted).

We have late seating too, but that is what we prefer so we always ask for that.

We thankfully have early seating. The kids wouldn't make it through late seating I'm sure.

Welcome to the group!!!! You are going to love Disney-cruising.... :cool1:
Just make sure you stop by the rebooking desk while you are there, because you are going to be addicted to it like we are and you will certainly be coming back from more cruises :rotfl2:

Speaking of rebooking, anyone know what cruise they will book next? We won't be booking another cruise while on this one as we already have 4 more cruises booked. :rotfl2: I'm not sure addiction is even the right word! Two weeks after we get off this cruise, my friend and I will be going on the Hawaii cruise without the kids. Then the kids and I will be going on the Dream in Aug, then back on the Wonder for the PC cruise in Dec and Alaska in Aug of 2013. It would be fun to cruise with 'regulars.' Who wants to join me??? :thumbsup2:cool1:

If I could, I would join you for all of those ;)

We have a Pacific Coast cruise for DH and I booked for September (on the Wonder). That is a VGT, so I can't do anything with that reservation.

I will be rebooking our Fantasy - June 2013 cruise while on board. So far the price has held at opening day prices so I should be able to rebook (with discount and OBC) and come out way ahead.

I read that you can only do one onboard booking now (or at least only one cruise, you can book 2 rooms though) to get the discount and OBC. I was going to book a dummy cruise to save for a 2014 Alaska with my Mom also, but I guess I will be doing that when I'm on board the Wonder in September instead.

Can someone help me find some graphics for magnets that can be customized?

Can someone help me find some graphics for magnets that can be customized?

I found all of mine on this thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2745821

I used the links in the designer's signatures to find the graphics that I wanted. Then I just added my own text to them (I downloaded the Walt Disney font).

Is there anything special that you were thinking about. I might have some already done (or that I can easily create for you) that I can send you.
