Hi, I was wondering if anyone else out there was booked to go with us?
Paula

Hi Kimmielee, It will be myself, DH, DS (18) and nephew (20). We are really looking forward to it.

Hi,

We are fresh off the 2/18 Eastern and rebooked the April 7, 2007 Western while we were on board. Have any of you done the western before? recommendations? It will be me, DH and DD7 (8 at time of cruise). We just want to get back on board as soon as possible... :cool1:

How hard it must be to be done with your cruise... but you did the right thing by booking another one right away!!

Our first cruise is about 49 days away and I can't wait. We are starting out with the 4 day, so I can't give any advice on the Western!

My DS (6) will be 7 on next years cruise. Does that put the kids in the same club?

What was the favorite part of your cruise?

Kimmielee, we are in Shelby Twp., so we are not very far from you. I am a bit jealous that you are going on a cruise in less than 2 months :cool1:

You will have a great time. Is this your first cruise?

As far as the kids club goes, my dd7 was in the lab with the 8-9 year olds (a suggestion from the DIS boards). She loved it. Maybe your DS could try the club (5-7) on your 4 day and switch up to the lab (8-9) for the 7 day? I was not prepared for how little we would see my dd. She loved the kids counselors.

PBader, is this your first cruise or have you done the western before?

Planning for next easter is helping me get over the withdrawal... :sad2:

Haley's Mom,

Yes, it's our first DCL cruise. I have went on a Carnival cruise (oddly enough, 1 year ago today I was leaving the ship) and DS stayed behind with family.

When I got back I told him that "someday" we'd go on the Disney cruise. It wasn't a week later and DCL sent a postcard to my son, addressed to HIM and he took it as a personal invitation from Mickey Mouse!

I'm hoping he enjoys the clubs as well. Our trip has turned into two weeks... with WDW first, the cruise, then back to WDW and a day at Universal's Island of Adventures to have fun with Spiderman. If he enjoys the clubs then I can spend 4 days relaxing and reading a book by the pool!

I'm hoping that next year since it's just the cruise we are doing - that my boyfriend can join us as well.

We just did the same thing...we went to WDW for 3 days before the cruise, rested up and got really spoiled on the 7 day cruise and then headed back to WDW for three more commando days in the park.

I am sure that your DS will love the clubs, they are so neat that I wish I could hang out there (well, almost). As far as the "personal invitation to cruise", have you signed up on the postcard thread for someone (Mickey) to send him a postcard before you cruise? Everyone is really great on that thread. "Mickey" sent one to my DD before the cruise and she really loved it.

If you have any questions before your first cruise I would be happy to help. These boards were really helpful to us. But we were really just blown away with how great it really was! Now we are hooked pirate:

I hope that your DBF can join you next year :goodvibes

hi all - we will 'probably' be joining you - will just be myself and DS (16 by then). I had rebooked from our original cruise last summer in the Mexican Riviera, and had hoped to go summer of '07, but now that DCL is stealing the Magic away to mediterranean - we are considering and currently booked for this cruise. I don't think I / we can wait till summer of 2008. It's so hard to take DS out of school -he goes to a catholic HS and they really frown on missed school days for vacations - so our plans are to fly from CA the evening he's out of school for Easter break (which i hope will be Wed 4/04) so we can have thurs & fri at the parks before sailing.

We are booked on this cruise, myself, DH, DD and DS (11 yr twins). This is our 3rd Disney Cruise, the last one was two years ago. We had a great time, the kids loved the clubs and activities and we relaxed and played hard too.

Hoping to meet ya on-line anyone else have 11 year olds? :yay:

Yeah - so glad you got the message to join this thread.....i'm sure there are many more families booked on this cruise but they just haven't found this site yet. Which other two Disney cruises have you taken? This is our 2nd, our 1st one was last summer while the Magic was here in Calif - it was the absolute best time - so really looking forward to next year, and then plan to do the eastern caribbean in '08 or '09...we are so hooked!!!

We ended up booking Halloween 2007 instead of Easter 2007... much less expensive!

Enjoy your cruise!

Hi. I am considering booking, just not completely certain yet. DD6 will be out of school that week. I had planned on going next summer, but there are no 7 nights (I found that surprising.)

We have been to Disney the past two summers, and both of us really want to go on the cruise. I don't think 3 or 4 nights would be enough, so I definitely want a 7 night.

it will be me, my DS (16) and tentatively my sister and her two kids (DD-17) and DS (13 or 14 then...???) :cool1: - we're so excited - we've been counting the days (or months actually)...especially since a year ago today we were counting down like 4 days to our 1st Disney cruise ever....hope we get more fellow cruisers to jump on this thread :Pinkbounc

Just booked! It will be me and DD6. I am so excited! :cheer2:

I had been telling myself that I was going to wait until 2008 to do the cruise, but once I started researching I knew I couldn't wait!

:goodvibes

I have been off the boards forever it seems. Hopefully now I will have more time to read. We are really looking forward to April. It will be our 2nd western cruise. Our 1st was in jan 2005 and we had really rough seas and our excursions were cancelled in KW an GC. We did the Tulum tour in Coz and it was really interesting, but an extremely long day. We still had rough seas and the tender ride wasn't fun.
My DS will be 18 and nephew will be 20--they are excited about "clubbing".
We booked 2 connecting SPH rooms. The fares are so high for spring break.

DH and myself will do lots of hanging out in the Cove--just love the coffee drinks--and getting away from the wind. I can't wait to see the outside movies--that is a nice touch.

Just giving this a bump!
Our passports arrived today--although we won't need them for this cruise.
