April 6th dcl announcement

It's nice to see the 5-night cruises to Canada. I can imagine the Hawaii cruise will be very popular, although April 29 is pretty early for taking kids out of school for 2 weeks.

That's what we'll be booking, the 5 night Canada itinerary :thumbsup2

We're considering the NY - NASSAU - CC - PORT CANAVERAL - NY option. DS would like to go to NY - rest of the family wants a cruise. So, pleases everyone.

Going to keep our Alaska booking for this year. Beats having to travel to Seattle and having one of Ports being where we live.

I can defiantly see us doing a 2 day to no where... 2 days in the city and then 2 days to relax on the Magic could make for a really nice mini vacay..and DCL fix till a big trip on the Fantasy in 2013 :)

:worship:I really want to go to Hawaii!

I guess I will be waiting :surfweb:for the announcement on Wednesday...like everyone else.

Received from my travel agent tonight:

New York CityStarting on May 25, 2012, the Disney Magic will sail a total of 20 cruises from New York including eight-night cruises to the Bahamas, five-night cruises up the New England coast to Canada plus two-night cruises that will give a sampling of the Disney Cruise Line experience over a weekend:

The eight Bahamas cruises (5/25, 6/2, 6/22, 6/30, 7/20, 7/28, 8/17, 8/25, 2012) will include a day at Disneys private island, Castaway Cay; Nassau, Bahamas; and a stop at Port Canaveral, Florida, giving guests an opportunity to visit the nearby Walt Disney World Resort. As part of this itinerary, each guest will receive a one -day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket and roundtrip transportation between their Disney ship and the resort.
The nine five-night cruises up the New England coast (6/10, 6/17, 7/8, 7/15, 8/5, 8/12, 9/2, 9/7, 9/12, 2012) will call at Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Saint John, New Brunswick. In these popular Canadian ports, guests can soak in splendid natural vistas, explore historic sites, visit quaint cafes and charming shops, and browse Canadas oldest farmers market.
Three two-night cruises (6/5, 7/13 and 8/10, 2012) out of New York are perfect for families looking for a quick getaway with a day at sea over a weekend.

Galveston, TexasBeginning Sept. 22, 2012, the Disney Magic will sail 12 seven-night cruises from the Port of Galveston to the Western Caribbean. Ports of call include Grand Cayman and Mexico’s Costa Maya and Cozumel. These 7 night cruises will feature 3 full days at sea and 3 days in wonderful ports.
Disney Magic 2012 Galveston – Seven-Night Western Caribbean sailing on 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 2012

It's been posted...I think we have 3 threads going about it...:rotfl:

SO....if the starting price for an inside for Hawaii is $1800 PP, what do you GUESS the starting price would be for Oceanview and Verandah levels?? I'm Gold and hopefully Platinum and Gold will get their early booking perk on this puppy!

I really want a verandah and $3000 per person is my max...$200 a day.

.

Wish there was a dislike button ... guess I'll be taking my $$ elsewhere for my Europe cruise :headache:

I'm honestly considering each itinerary ... No way can I put a down payment on each one though on Friday...

So...my question is...which ones do you think will sale fastest/increase in price quickest? Any predictions?

Galveston is supposed to be building a 3rd pier. Once Disney is positive the pier will be done on time then they will release their 2012/2013 itinerary from Galveston.

My guess would be a holiday cruise because kids are out of school.

Just looked at the Hawaii ports and looks like Wonder is still listed for Sept 16 Oahu and Sept 17 Hilo.

Whoop Whoop! :cool1:
Much better than expected! I would be happy with either the Canada, the Pacific coast one, or the Galveston one! Just gotta figure what might fit in with our existing plans for 2012. I hope some of these get carried through 2013!
Needs some thinking now........:happytv:
Guess DCL will be getting a fair number of rebook on board reservations with these itineraries. Hope they don't plan to discontinue the onboard booking perks......:worship:

Just looked at the Hawaii ports and looks like Wonder is still listed for Sept 16 Oahu and Sept 17 Hilo.

But this schedule shows the Wonder doing the 7 night Pacific cruises starting 9/16 (4 in a row). But there's a gap between 9/3 (end of last Alaska) and 9/16 in LA. ?????

Love to hear about the LA/Seattle repo cruises.

:( really disappointed with these itinaries - really hoped for Europe and Transatlantic
