i know right?? I have been trying to teach my kids it isnt nice to "gloat". Besides if he doesnt work for Disney who is going to get mad if he tells us?

Then why put it out there that you even know anything? You're already admitting that he shared confidential information with you. If I were the friend and told you a big secret, and then you posted that I told you something (even without divulging the actual secret), I'd pretty annoyed with you.

I just think Buddy is excited and wanted to share that it is an exciting announcement not just the same old itineraries we have been talking about.

maybe they can go full time in the new HOUSTON terminal. Now that would be more exciting than part time in Galveston. Whatever it is you have a point....we can pretend it's like Christmas but utimatally the announcement wont please everyone i am sure and if it's too off the wall then that not's exciting either. (i.e. like a one way cruise)

as SA53 said it is actually a TAD more exciting knowing it is a reality that something will be announced!! thanks!!

My fingers are crossed that NY (or any Northeastern port) will be a homeport. With airfares rising and rising, it is getting cost prohibitave to fly to a port. Usually the NY/Baltimore iteneraries aren't as great, but as a fairly new cruiser, it isn't a huge deal to me, and the $$$ saved on air is awesome...not to mention cutting out the stress of needing to get a hotel the night before, worry if there will be a flight delay, etc.

You're talking about mostly Disney freaks here so please don't be surprised at how your seemingly innocent post can work others up! There are threads that are several pages long on such mundane topics as dress codes, saving seats, adult-only areas, boarding numbers, stateroom reviews, packing lists, smoking on verandahs, size of the pools and of course, new itineraries. There have been many threads speculating on the 2012 itineraries. This is just the most recent one.

I don't think anyone called names, but did cmment on the action itself being a bit "childish". I think it could have been handled in a more mature manner to garner excitement, yet not divulge any secrets. And there's a difference in calling out someone's actions or behavior vs just calling someone a name.

I had wondered initially if you were a troll, but then I looked at your post history and it seemed fairly legitimate so I have no reason to doubt your post.

I understand your excitement and I think others on here are excited as well. This has been the longest they have waited to announce for about 5 years, so DCL has not met expectations already. Plus, with their "soft opening" of the Fantasy, it does seem like their communication has been lacking this year.

And if someone does guess the news and you confirm it, haven't you just spilled the secret and betrayed your friend's trust? So will this be just like the children's game of hot/cold?

No worries--even with the hints provided I know a little more than I did yesterday; I'd even say "thanks!" for just letting us know that April 6 IS a significant announcement and not just another "here's our new ship" event. So can't wait until next week!

And now, my prediction...(actually just a hope): For the Magic: Eastern Med that will include Eygpt and Greece; for the Wonder: trips out to Hawaii, possible trip to the Far East (could be Japan, could be to Hong Kong and Shanghi with a special event involving the next Disney park).

And with these, some sort of Adventures by Disney tie-in, like we've seen with the western med trips (and for a while, Vancouver).

The Magic stopped going to Tunisia because of what was going on there . . . so I highly doubt they will be going to Egypt any time soon . . . and Japan is just out of the question . . . I didn't mean that to sound rude by the way . . . I just laughed to myself when I read it, but honest mistake . . .
