April 6th dcl announcement

Let's see ... 34 pages and 500 replies in the last one. popcorn::

At least this one is not on April 1st! :cool1:

I just hope it won't be an announcement of announcing another date of when they will have the real announcement. :woohoo:

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere as I haven't been online much.

I came across the following port schedule for Oahu for 2012 that shows the Disney Wonder being in Oahu overnight May 6-7 2012 and again on September 16, 2012.
http://hawaii.gov/dot/harbors/file-links/passenger-cruise-schedules/oahucruise2012.pdf

I know there has been reports of DCL having tentative bookings but this was the first time I've noticed the ship's name associated with the dates.

And if anyone is into friendly speculation, the schedule for Kauai (http://hawaii.gov/dot/harbors/file-links/passenger-cruise-schedules/kauaicruise2012.pdf) shows an "ISS special" ship in that port on May 7th and September 18th. Since the Oahu schedule clearly shows that Inchscape Shipping Services is the agent for the Wonder, and the dates are conveniently close to when the Wonder is scheduled to be in Oahu, then could ISS Special be code for a special Inchscape Shipping Services ship such as the Disney Wonder?

Not sure how accurate this website is or if they just have the sailings listed on the Magical normally doing alternating Eastern Western but the Magic is listed to be out of Florida for the summer of 2012. The Dream and Fantasy are also listed

Does anyone know what the rumor is if it sails out of NYC where it will be sailing to?

Knowing Disney it will probably be a boring itinerary

My thoughts are
Port Canaveral for sure so that they can offer shore excursions to their theme parks. Castaway Cay for sure. If they are only offering a 7nt sailing they really can't go any further than the Bahamas. If they are doing longer sailings, not sure

I am hoping they will go to Bermuda

Does anyone know if they do have a cruise out of NY and hit Bermuda would this be enough to satisfy the Jones act thingy?

The reason I ask is if there was a one way from NY then I could stay on in Disney for a week. A one day excursion would not be enough for my family:rolleyes1

If this is possible, do you think it likely? or just wishful thinking on my part...

I wish there was some leaked info about the Wonder Summer 2012 :upsidedow

Bermuda is a foreign port

No, Bermuda does not satisfy the PSVA to allow a one way between NY and Port Canaveral. Anyone hoping for a way to add days at WDW with a cruise from NY will be disappointed.

We have sailed two Meds and 1 Baltic, all on Magic. :lovestruc If NY and Galveston is all that Disney can offer, we will have to find another cruise line. :scared1: Does anyone know of a good family cruise line that does Europe or Asia in the summer?

The Fantasy is scheduled to overnight in Madeira on February 20-21, 2012, so I assume that's during it's transatlantic crossing on it's way to PC.

It's also scheduled to stop in St. Maarten the two weeks before the March 31 MV cruise.

Any thought that a NYC cruise might go north instead of south? Perhaps up to Nova Scotia?

Our family enjoys Princess and Celebrity (but Celebrity may not be as good for some kids). We will be sailing to Turkey, Greece and Italy on Royal Caribbean next month--they "sound" very good for families but I don't really know yet.

Hi there,

Is anyone else bored waiting on the announcement of the future itineraries, we generally start planning a long way out and waiting this long is starting to become a pain.

I am definitely bored. It is really starting to tick me off :guilty:

Thanks NHdisneylover! Let me know how the Royal Caribbean Europe cruise goes. I would love to stay with Disney but we want interesting ports. Did you sail Princess and Celebrity in the summer when there were more kids? My teens like the dressing up but they don't want to be the only kids on the ship! :scared1:

All the way.... :thumbsup2
:goodvibes

The idea of not having to pay for airfare just makes it sweeter for us.

Time will tell.
:)

While I love the thought of NYC since it is pretty close (but why not Boston?) I do like interesting ports. But all is speculation until the announcement. popcorn:::surfweb:
