Oh... our cabin number is 2538.

Hi All. I just moved a dummy date to this sailing. I will have been 16 months since our last cruise by the time this one sails. I will be ready!

It will be me and DD, who will turn 7 on the ship.

Its so great to have so many new folks joining the cruise meet AND the FE. Just out of curiosity, how many families do we have so far participating in the FE?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone.

Regarding the FE list, MCMCKUF is updating the list although when I click the link in her signature it says it hasn't been updated in 5 weeks. MCMCKUF, are you still out there??? It has close to 20 cabins on it already, looking good!

We just got off the Magic last week, the first Mediterranean cruise of the year. It was awesome. If anyone is even thinking about it, just do it. It was a very different experience than cruising the Caribbean.

We are also Michiganders, from NW detroit suburbs (Farmington/Bloomfield area). I set up an airfare alert but haven't gotten a single email yet so I assume the prices are high b/c I think I set the alert to under $260/ticket from DTW. I'm afraid to look!

Some good friends just got off the very same cruise!! They said that were exhausted from the tours! Did everyone dress up as pirates on pirate night? By any chance, did you meet Efrain from Guest Services? We adore him!

disneyli22ie, I think what was most exhausting was getting up at 630 four mornings in a row. That just doesn't seem right on vacation!:) They still did a pirate night with fireworks and buffet but I would say maybe 1/3 or less of passengers dressed up - much fewer than on the Caribbean trips.

Those guest service CM's have a tough job. Maybe it was b/c it was the 1st Med cruise of the season and stuff was going wrong for people but there was always a line and it seemed like a lot of complaining was going on. I think I waited once just to check out an extra wave phone and other than that I avoided guest services. I didn't see Efrain there. Maybe he was smart and hid in the back! I overhead one unhappy lady ask guest services to page the captain for her. She even said 'he's expecting my page'. Oh, ok. Maybe I'm cynical, but I very much doubt that! And yet the CM handled it with a smile. Hats off to them!

MCMCKUF, :thumbsup2

Mayhem in the Mediterranean! Apparently, I've been watching too much Scooby Doo this summer. It's amazing how people can spend thousands of dollars and be miserable on their trips. You see them all of the time screaming at their children and each other. Good for you to stay away from that desk! I hope Efrain was hiding in the back. They probably sent people over from Port Adventures to take care of the really upset ones! PA stafff can handle anything, they are so used to saying no to refunds and used to dealing with unhappy people!
I would love to take the repositioning cruise from there to Fla. You would really get in the relaxing part of a vacation! pirate:

I just PM'd you our info for the FE, the spread sheet looks great. Will we be splitting it into groups of 20 if it keeps growing or will there be a cut off?

Love the lanyard idea, so cute!

Also, there seem to be a bunch of ATL (ATL, Roswell, Alpharetta, etc) families going, might be fun to get together/meet somewhere to let the kids meet before the cruise! I have a DS 12, DD 9, and DD 8...I know they would love to have some buddies to hang out with on the cruise. We are in Alpharetta...

Is anyone starting to think about excursions yet? Just curious.

Count us in on a meet and greet. We live in downtown Decatur, but can meet anywhere around Atlanta. Our daughter is the same age as yours! She is 8 now, but will turn 9 in late August.

Keep us in the loop with the ATL folks. We are in Decatur too. DS will be 8 and DD will be 4.

WOW, in Decatur! What school does your son attend? Our daughter is going to Winona Park. Can't wait to meet all of y'all from Georgia. :boat:

Wow, we are really close to you guys too - in Embry Hills. A pre-cruise dismeet could be a lot of fun. :)

We're scheduled to sail the Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean cruise that sails April 5, 2014 as well. I am soooooooooo excited! Our first cruise experience was a short 4 day Bahama cruise on the Disney Dream in October, 2012 (DH is adopted from China and our agency (CCAI) had a reunion cruise - so much fun!). My DH and then 15 yr old DD absolutely LOVED it. Our room was on the 9th floor ald looked straight out the back of the boat - HUGE veranda - my daughter slept one night under the stars on the veranda and is STILL talking about it. DH and I decided to book the April 2014 cruise as a surprise for DD. Our room is the the same general location, but on deck 6 (room 6690) this time.

Last time, we combined the cruise with our WDW vacation and drove to the port the morning of departure. This time, we'll be staying at the Hyatt in the Orlando airport the night before and take the Magical Express to the port.
I'm anxious to learn about some of the "best" port adventures for St Thomas/St Maarten, etc or if it's best just to wing it and take a taxi to the beach & shopping....

I've gott ask.....what a FE list? Sorry - I'm a list newbie.

We're from Whitehall (West Michigan, just north=west of Grand Rapids)
