April 5, 2012 5 Night Bahamian Cruise (Dreamfinders)

Thanks for the basket info, Laurie. I, too, have been wondering about this. What types of items did you have Shirley do for your Easter baskets?

She has all kinds of options for baskets. Over the years we have had water bottles, beach towels, sand toys, candy, coloring books, stuffed Minnies - you name it. When you call her, Shirley will ask their ages and interests and can customize it from there. One cruise I had a basket put together for my parents with champagne and chocolate. They are always beautifully put together and her prices are pretty reasonable.

Hi Donna, A few years back, when our girls were much younger, we had Shirley do baskets and they were in the room. My DH stayed with the girls up on deck and I ran down before we went to the cabin as a family. I put the baskets on the top shelf of the closet and covered them with a blanket. On Easter morning we pulled them down and the girls never had any clue they had been in the cabin all week. It worked pretty well without having to explain anything different. BTW - we still use Shirley on our DCL cruises and she does a fantastic job - never been dissapointed. Good luck hiding the baskets!

Laurie,

You are so sweet to respond!!! THANK YOU!!! That was brilliant!!! I will bring a couple of black trash bags, and run to the room first, put them in and stash them at the top of the closet. I hope there is room for 3!!!

That is a GREAT IDEA!!!!:cool1: See you soon!!!

littlebitsmom -- Our 7 yo DS will be on the cruise too! His 4.5 yo little brother will be there too, but I figure they could always use more friends in the club. I grew up in TN, but now live in NJ. Looking forward to our guys meeting! :goodvibes

Lydia

PS we're celebrating our 10 yrs too!

Who is Shirley??. And how do you get in touch with her?- sorry newish.

In the past, when we have traveled over Easter. The Easter Bunny has brought a little gift, like a DS game or a little candy and left a note saying that their baskets are at home, waiting for them to return. This way we didn't have to pack things in our suitcases. Not sure exactly what we'll do this year...

Hi . . Everyone. This is our third Disney Cruise but I just discovered the forum.

Its myself TL, WC and SL (daughter - 9). We are from the most easterly part of Canada. And can't wait for another cruise, we just love the low stress of this type of vacation. :)

Hi! My dd will be 9, a few weeks shy of 10, on this cruise!

Pastamom,

Thanks for the tip. That is a good idea as well. I may put out baskets here for them when we get home. They keep asking how the Easter bunny can get on the ship. I think I may send a gift from Shirley that they can enjoy from Thursday (instead of waiting until Sunday), and then have the baskets when we get home.... ONLY on the disboards can I talk about this without feeling ridiculous!!! TUTA!!!!:flower3:

Hey there! We are first time DCL Cruisers and will be on this cruise. I am trying to figure out how I can join the cruise meets and how to get in on the fish finder thing. Any help is greatly appreciated! Am super excited to be cruisen with all you too! Woohoo! :-) We actually have one other family traveling with us total of me (BJ), my husband (Kenny), my daughter (Jocelyn - 14) and my son (Chase - 5) and the other couple is Renee, Kurt and their son (Konnor - 5). :cool1:

So...I couldn't wait! I leave Thursday am for a 3 nights on the Dream! Just a quick girlfriend trip. Hubs and kids staying behind.

If anyone has anything they want me to check out let me know!

Wow you are so lucky to be going on a 3 nighter this Thurs. I am so jealous. :goodvibesAre you going to try Remy's? If so, please let me know what it is like? Also, please tell us about the new restaurants and I am sure that we will all have lots of ques for you when you get back.:thumbsup2 Also, my daughter wants to know about the aquaduck if you try it.

Enjoy your trip! I am sure that you will have a great time.

I would love to be added to the FE. Our room numbers are 7080 and 7082. Can you explain how that works?

I am not planning on Remy's this time, but I am hitting Palo, and of course the aquaduck!

This is very much a working trip (I am a TA), but I am sure I will have some time for at least a little fun.:rotfl2: What can I say...I am a dedicated girl! I am starting a new cruise blog very soon, so I have to get all the scoop and all the pics I can snap!

Hi guys...long time no post ;) just a quickie...we won't be taking part in thFE gifting this trip I am afraid. Strick weight limitson transatlantic flights...and my girls have plans for all of ours so we will have to give it a miss this trip (I tend to over do it a little...I know I don't have to...but...) so apologies if this is a bit late in the day:confused3

Missed out on the Atlantis tour....any party of 2 interested in going in on a Comfort Suites package with my son and I?

Our plans for the Easter bucket (we've always done a sand pail rather than a basket) is to mainly fill it with items from the ship. Many of these items I'd be buying anyway; so the furry guy might as well bring souvenirs from the double D. :thumbsup2
