April 5, 2012 5 Night Bahamian Cruise (Dreamfinders)

Our family will be joining you all for our first trip aboard the Dream. This will be my wife (Cindy) and my third cruise on Disney. Last year we took the Magic for seven days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We took our oldest daughter (Caitlin) on the Wonder for her high school graduation. Now we are taking our youngest daughter (Carissa) for her upcoming high school graduation. We will be accompanied by Caitlin's husband Mark and their friends Ryan and Valerie. We can't wait!:dance3:

Whoo-hoo! Booked dinner at Palo, a spa appointment and a few shore excursions and did the online checkin. Somehow, that made it more real! Very excited for this trip!

I've gotta get some ideas for the FE too!

Laurie

Welcome too:wave2:to all that have joined!

We too are so excited for this cruise :goodvibes We have started a 100 day count down to the day we leave and are at day 84:woohoo: We are also camping at Fort Wilderness for 3 nights before we cruise.

I still have to get our FE gifts for this trip. Better get going, as it is getting closer every day. My husband, son and myself need to renew our passports, so we plan to mail them out next week.

Hi All!
Just checking in! We are getting close now! My kids and my friends kids are super excited. Everytime we all get together, the kids--all 6 of them-- talk about the cruise.

We are flying down on Tuesday, staying at the Country Inn and Suites Tues and Wed nights. We are going to NASA on Wednesday.

After the cruise, we'll be staying at the Vistana Villages. We are planning to go to Universal Studios, and perhaps Epcot.

We are going to the Atlantis on Easter Sunday. I have rooms at the Comfort Suites already reserved. We had other friends of ours that are not going to be cruising with us, so I may have some extra "space" at the Comfort Suites. A room at the comfort suites allows you to use the atlantis facilities for "free". I may have up to 6 slots at $105 per slot. PM me if anyone is interested.

Yay -- we are paid in full today!! Updating my FE list (wonder how many more will join???), and getting started. So excited!

By the way, mackiemom3 -- my sons Ethan (7) and Caden (4.5) are about your sons' ages. I've been really selling the Kids Club so that they will give us some time to celebrate our anniversary :thumbsup2

Hi,

I have finally gotten around to looking at the meets list for our cruise! Please add us to the FE list:

DW Sian, DH Russ, DD Robynn 11

room 10162

Thanks!

We were going to do that until I checked and saw that there are going to be 6 ships in port that day. I figure Atlantis is going to be super-crowded! So we will go to either Blue Lagoon or Blackbeards.

Is anyone going all-out for pirate night? pirate:

This is our first Disney cruise and this FE thing is beginning to frighten me! The list is getting longer and longer and I have NO IDEA how I'm going to accomplish everything. I need some inspiration, and I need to get moving!

Here is the current FE list as of Jan. 13th 2012- hope everyone is having a great New Year!

Wow I did not realize that there would be 6 ships in port that day. We had thought about going to the Atlantis, but then decided we would explore the new ship instead. I am glad now that we decided to do that or I am sure that it would be too crowded for us.

I still have to get my FE gifts too. Actually I have played FE where we have had up to 60 or so families playing and that was just way too many. A lot to buy for there. We will have a cut off date at 6 weeks for FE and if we get a lot more families joining between now and then, we could always talk about splitting up into 2 groups, but it doesn't seem too bad to me yet.

We are getting very excited for this cruise!:goodvibes

Hi everyone - we are very late coming to this cruise; we only booked on Sunday! We sailed on the ill-fated Dream that got hit by Hurricane Irene in August last year - two days in Nassau, no Castaway Cay and lots of seasick passengers. Despite all that, we had a wonderful time and rebooked on board. However, we found we weren't going to be able to do the cruise we'd booked, started browsing and found space on this cruise! So excited to have the opportunity to do all the things we missed last time - fingers crossed we'll make Castaway Cay this time! At least with two days there, there is a good chance!

Anyway, enough waffle from me - we are Alison, Nigel and Stephen, aged 12. He loved the Edge in August and will be so excited about it this time ... but we haven't told him yet! Need to start looking for shorts etc but I don't expect there's much chance of finding anything like that in England in January. May have to shop when we arrive in Florida.

Please count us in for the FE, too.

Look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Alison -- FYI I just rec'd a swimsuit from Boden (HQ in the UK) so you can buy shorts there!! Welcome aboard!!

Hi and welcome:welcome:,

That is too bad that you missed CC on your last cruise. Hopefully with 2 times at CC, we will get there at least 1 time. Plus, it won't be hurricane season, so that is good.

I will add you to the FE list. If you could PM me your room number sometime, I will add it to my FE list.

Thanks,
Vicki

Hi Everyone-

Devines from Maryland here. Six week cut off is good for us. My two daughters, 14 & 15, are very excited. I will try to get them on the kids thread soon.

Second cruise for us. My in-laws decided to join us last minute. Anyone have grandparents coming along?

Anyway, looking forward to the cruise!!:cool1:

Hi Soccermom, I have recently become nervous that the 3.5 year old will have issues with the amount of kids and chatoic environment of the kids club. I have booked palo for brunch and a couples retreat and now Im worrying if connor will mesh well with the environment! Really will have to talk to the older two about keeping him involved with what they are doing..hopefully we can meet up and introduce the boys. That may help!
Will we have a dis meet time on the cruise that would be fun!
