April 5, 2008 7 Night Western

I noticed that yesterday, I was receiveing some of the update emails but not all. I did get one this morning with your post :)

I am sure there will be lots of questions popping up now that we are at the 88 day mark - wooo hoooo!!!!! (Hopefully they won't all come from me - HA HA HA!!!). Does anyone know if you can see the ship from all beaches on GC or is one better than the other? I would just love to have some photos of the ship while there so just wondering if there are great spots for that. I think we are going to do both KW and GC on our own with our cruise buddies. Looks like the guys may want to do the Pub Tour with free drinks & T-Shirt and then the girls and the kids will do something. Then the girls will go shopping while the guys take the kids :-)

Any GA families out there in the Woodstock/Marietta/Roswell area that would like to meet up before we head down to FL so the kids can meet and have a few friends before we board? My DS is 8 and DD is 5 :-)

I'm not receiving the updates either. Maybe after this post they'll start again.

Actually, I called my AAA agent and its because I paid in cash..I wish she would have told me I should have done it by credit card..I spoke to her on MOnday and she said I should be able to reserve tomorrow--Wednesday:(...I'm calling again in the morning. Right now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get what I want. Thank you all so much for your words of hope:) HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:wizard: Maybe you will be alright since it hasn't hit the 75 day mark yet. Think good thoughts. :wizard:

Good Luck, Nena! Hope you get the reservations you want!!!
I hope you will be in great shape too since the 75 day is not here yet!

Keep us posted!

Just booked brunch for Palo. I am so excited we got the reservation.

Question for those of you who have done the brunc: the reservation says 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. Does that mean we show up at 11 and brunch lasts until 1:00 or that we will be assigned a specific time to be there in this time period at a later date?

Show up at 11! Palo brunch is a treat! We booked ours on KW day, early.

Hi All:)
I finally got everything situated. I was able to get the excursions I wanted but the downer is that I did not get the Palo Brunch or High Tea. They only had dinner ressies left and in all honesty I want to eat with my son:) I figured he would not have minded spending time at the lab during brunch time. Do you think they will have any openings for the brunch eventually or r they pretty much all gone?

HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!:sad2:

Nena, from what I understand, they hold back some of the ressies for those who do not have internet, to book on board. Since you live in FL, perhaps you can get to the port early, board, and go directly to make Palo ressies. Or someone might change their mind. Doesn't hurt to check now and then. Hope you get what you want!! (wonder if a few more open up on the 75 day mark? Just wondering since first timers can't book til then.)

I agree...getting to the ship early may be your best chance or as DMI said - possibly checking back as some may cancle what they have. We were first time cruiseres last time and there wasn't anything available at the 75 day out mark but you never know so just keep checking back. Glad you got the excursions you wanted though :) Good Luck with your Palo's ressies!

Same for us, last time we were 1st timers and they were gone on-line. I think that it is something like only 1/2 are available on-line. We got to port early and I went right to the Palo station after boarding. They had every day and time open. It took 2 minutes tops. Did you book your Palo dinner for later in the week? DS may have made good friends by then and not mind you attending dinner on your own. Either way I feel that you'll get a brunch time and Palo brunch is about as good as dinner.

In the past I've been able to get what I wanted at Palo by asking once I was onboard. I'm sure you'll be fine. I think the hold a lot back and with it being a 7 day there are a lot of opportunities.

Good luck!

Kim

Hi all:) Ill keep checking the website and definitely will get there early. I'll do exactly what y'all suggested...go to the Palo Station---give them a disney magic smile and say "Ohhhh pretty please , give me a ressie for the brunch this week:)" LOL.....

I can't wait...tick tick tick...r u all excited....I am swamped these months prior but its allworth it once I step on board.

Have any of you gotten a pedicure or manicure onboard before?

My son can't wait for their mac and cheese and mickey mouse icecream bars. My mom wants their chicken tender and fries....

I did get a pedicure on board last time, and thought it was great. Have heard others complain. I do not usually get pedicures, and my feet were hurting, so I thought it was worth it. Very soothing!

On one of our cruises I got a manicure - it was nice.

I was wondering about hair. Anyone use the salon? Are they good?

I booked on for Thursday morning! I didn't get one last time we were on board but have heard they are wonderful. Not a bad rate for a 55 minute pedicure :) Looking forward to it!

My son is excited to the Mickey Ice Cream Bars, too! And the room service Chocolate Chip Cookies! YUMMY!

Does anyone have photos of the Bon Voyage Cabin decos or have you seen them here on the boards?

Thanks!

Hello all!

I can't stop thinking about the cruise. It feel so close now. I had forgotten about the Mickey Bars. I think DS ate one every night for dessert. I'll have to remind him about that.

DH and I are getting the upper body massages this time. I am really looking forward to that.

Julie
