FLL has an airport hotel? Which one is it? I would most likely be interested!

Sorry, wasn't thinking about the fact that there are more than one airport there. We will be flying into MIA.

Looks like there is a 30 mile difference.

Just got me thinking since the other cruises we've booked have been at Galveston and Port Canaveral we've never been out of Miami. Are we thinking wrong on were to fly into for the shuttle?

Jim you are correct in thinking of flying into MIA that is the closest airport to the port where the Wonder will be, you should be able to get a shuttle from the airport to the port. The FLL airport is about 30-40 miles from the Port of Miami I don't believe you can catch a shuttle from FLL to the Port of Miami. Hope that helps. We are from Miami and are currently living in Fort Lauderdale, still have lots-o-family down south. For those who have questions about Miami I'll try my best to help you guys out. :-D

Hi everyone! This cruise will be my 4th cruise but my 1st DISNEY CRUISE! It will be myself and my soon-to-be DW (she already joined the group as vperez)

We still haven't chosen a hotel for the night before the cruise, we fly in from LAX on the 3rd.
I believe there is a hotel you can book through Disney and they provide a shuttle but I don't think there is the same sort of bus that you get from DisneyWorld to Port Canaveral or Orlando airport etc.
I'll see if I can find the name of that hotel

For those of you looking for a hotel I did some research there is a Comfort Suite Miami Airport North that offers free transportation from MIA to the hotel and from the hotel to the Port of Miami. The website says it's only 25 miles from the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I don't think they offer transportation to and from the FLL airport but you'll be closer to the port and can try and see if you can return any rental cars rented at FLL to MIA. Hope this helps any of those looking for hotels.

So excited for our cruise can't wait!!!!!

On a cruise were were given a bottle for Castaway Cay sand (beach sand is legal in customs) to take home. We brought another one for Nassau -

So I thought when I went to throw away a candle jar that it was perfect for sand from the other new sites for us -

So got a lot of burning to do -

I thought some others might like the idea.

Hi and thanks for the info. I don't think we would want to try to get to Miami after getting off a flight and picking up luggage at 10pm. Have you or your family used any good hotels near the FLL airport? (much cheaper and better flight times for us)

We've never stayed by the airport but I have found a few decent hotels close by. Some of them are very decently priced.

I've just booked our hotel for the night before the cruise, I went for the Homewood Suites Miami Airport Blue Lagoon

It has an airport shuttle and for a bit extra a shuttle to the port, breakfast and managers reception and the reviews were all pretty good.
I'm just glad to finally have it booked!

Another week has gone by

I know I mentioned this, but I leave Sunday for Disneyland, Australia, and Fiji. I will be back Dec 6th. If people join our little group, please let them know that I am trying to access internet. I should be ok in Cairns, but it will be spotty at best in Fiji.
