:cool1:

We just managed to book, well, I better clarify. I just booked, Candida (DW) doesn't know yet. Think I might wait until Christmas to tell her. So, any of her FB friends please don't tell her. So many familiar names and faces. It will be good to see you all again.

Once I tell her then we'll join the FB group. I would now but she uses my account to play a bunch of games. She doesn't venture onto DIS much so this is a Candida free zone :goodvibes

For those that we don't know I am Jon and as mentioned my DW is Candida. We are from southern Ontario, Canada. This will be our 5th DCL cruise. Our 4th is the MV Fantasy so, April will be busy for us.

Jon

Welcome on board, Jon. It will be great to see Candida and you again. At least I know I will have company in those character lines ;)

Oh I remember. I think we were as bad and we didn't even have all the computer stuff!!!

Just think of all the shoes you will be able to take!!!

I only just booked my flights for my November '11 cruise today!
Out to MCO on US Air (ick) on a non-stop that will get me there by 4PM and return to Phoenix on SW non-stop. Interesting that the one-way US Air was slightly cheaper than SW (including the one checked bag fee), but only by about $10.

Will definately be waiting on SW booking window for THIS one.

.

I booked AirTran from Kansas City to Orlando for our trip the last week of Oct. And AirTran was a few dollars cheaper than southwest also, even with the baggage fee. But, like you I think it was only $10 or so. I have heard that the SW and AirTran merge is supposed to start rolling out at the beginning of 2012.:thumbsup2

Yes, not to mention I can finally bring enough clothes, jewelry, booze, etc.

I've driven home from the port in LA a couple of times...it sure made packing up the stateroom easier (just cram stuff in a bag and go)! Also came in handy as the extras picked up along the way didn't result in excess luggage fees.

.

I'm game, I'll start working on my accent. ;) Let's all roll in the soot! Let's all be Labradors! :lmao:

That's what it looks like to me also, although I think they just sorted the single column instead of the whole spreadsheet so now our DisNames are off. Maybe we could each just fix our own DisName that would help.

:surfweb:

I know I was in line 138, all data is ok, except my DISname is somewhere else.

Awesome! :thumbsup2 Driving definitely has its advantages. I've been mentally trying to figure out if I can pull this off with only 4 pieces of luggage - maybe I should just let that go since we're driving anyway.

Hopefully this cruise to Hawaii, we won't have DD(4 at the time) winning a very large blue monkey (larger than she was) at Legoland and insisting on bringing it, I had to break down and buy another piece of luggage to put him in. :lmao:

Yeah, I really think it's just the DisNames that need updating - they are starting up in the column headings and are all off. I'm just afraid to touch it until the list owner say's whether they have a backup or not, or if they want us to update our own DisName.

Welcome Jon (& Candida, even though she doesn't know yet!!!!)....looks like we'll be cruisin' together a lot next year....maiden voyage of the Fantasy and then Hawaii!!!!!

I'd never be able to keep a secret that long...it was hard enough keeping the maiden voyage of the Fantasy from my Mom for 6 weeks....

OMG ! Did I tell you OMG ? This is my new toy and I love it !!! I will be ordering this right after I get off the Dis. :woohoo:

Tina...I warned you NOT to open the Cricut box!!!!!!! :goodvibes

Glad you are enjoying your new toy....now you need all the Disney cartridges...just an FYI...do not buy from CricutMachine.com....I made 2 purcahses from them...after the second one my credit card was compromised...

Thanks, I realize that everyone's opinion will be different but what I am looking for are the Must See's in each port, such as Pearl Harbour in O'ahu.

I have bought 3 books on Hawaii - Hawaii by Cruise Ship, The Unofficial Guide to Hawaii and Frommer's Hawaii guide.

I will be travelling with a senior (but she is quite active)...when we visit a new town we try to book a city tour or a "best of" tour. I looked on Princess' site at the types of excursions they have (just to get an idea) and they have quite a few city tour and highlight tours.

I just want to be prepared for what we want to see when it comes time to book our excursions because when we did the DCL Alaskan cruise, DCL didn't give us much notice as to the excursions.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I have been to Hawaii too many times to count. But the book(s) I rely on and swear by are by Andrew Doughty. His books are called Maui Revealed: The Ultimate Guide; Oahu Revealed: The Ultimate Guide, etc. ,etc., for each island.

In his books he has the whole island charted out and has diamonds next to certain things "called real gems" I think of things you definitely don't want to miss, even down to the local shrimp stand on Oahu!

Anyway, I take these books with me everytime I go over. They are wonderful and I swear by them. Have loaned them over the years to many friends who have gone on trips over there and they have said they have been very worthwhile.

My two cents worth....with inflation, probably about ten cents now!

Thanks Linda...off to search Amazon and Chapters.Indigo for the books.

:scratchin Wonder what I'll look like? I'm driving "very" local (30 min).

That's not loaded down, you should see our luggage even traveling light. :faint:

What I'm wondering is what I'll look like coming off the ship. Figured all you need is flippahs, swimsuits, and lots of suntan lotion. Oh and maybe a sweater or two which you can always pick up onboard at one of the stops. LOL, sorry folks, didn't mean to but in but I forget to post on here and then I see some familar faces I just excited all over again.

I LOVE driving to the port, which we have only done in San Pedro or Long Beach!! And for the first time we WOULD have been able to do it on a Disney Cruise...but now we are opting for the train! Still, Amtrak is pretty generous with allowances, so it will be darn lose to driving!

I just realized you are on the WBTA as well as this cruise!!! Hope to get to chat a bit.

:goodvibes

Hi Y'all, Just checking in, I've turned into a lurker these days. I am keeping up on all the chit chat, but just don't have the time to join in the planning fun right now.
Our flights are booked, we have 4 nights pre cruise and 1 night post cruise to organise, probably DL before. I'll get there.......

Have never been to Hawaii, so not much help there.
And this will only be our second cruise (did the WBTA 2010) so I'm leaving the newbie questions to much more experienced cruisers to answer.

I'll butt in if I think my 2 cents is worth anything!
I can help with questions about Australia, If DCL ever decide to cruise here! ;)

Signing off for now, but lurking in the background.........:rotfl:

Final payment for everyone is at 120 days. DCL has been slowly correcting the site and paperwork. My CC page still shows 75 days, but a TA suggested that it will change there once I do an update or make a payment.

DCL has changed there penalty policy for cruises 10 days or longer effective today. Now from day 119-45 you lose your deposit if you cancel (use to be day 89-45)

This is for non-suites and non-concierge, of course.
