According to the Disney Cruise Line facebook post, "throughout this month, the Disney Wonder is trasitioning the bed linens in its staterooms to Frette duvets, the same plush bedding used on the Disney Dream".:dance3:

WOOHOO!!!:cool1: I loved the bedding on the Dream!!

UKANGEL, I have always been told to gargle with salt water for a sore throat.

I am starting to dread how many pages I will have to catch up with when I am back from my vacation. I still have not made my mind up if I should take my laptop. We will take Graham's netbook as we need to keep on top of certain things, but I hate the small screen.

Looks like they are a bit behind with this. I had been told on the PC cruise that this would happen in March.

Erik and Jason, we have not met, but I can't wait to hear avout Alaska, and then to meet you on this cruise. We are on the very last Alaska this year, as opposed to your very first. Looking forward checking your blog and hearing your suggestions. Have fun!

This is great news!! I loved the bed linens on the Dream. I want to buy a set for home!

We've signed on to this fantastic voyage!!

Totally bummed at the beginning because we didn't get any Castaway Club advance notice and it was sold out by the time we found out.

Happy now that we have a reservation! :cool1:

Won't post too often, but will lurk and post as often as possible.

I found out from their facebook post!.. Got the down low about a day before this cruise went on sale. I am not a facebook billboard, but it does pay to "like" then if you haven't already!

John and I would love to meet you there. Are you speaking of pier 39? Just want to be sure. We are going to be spending the night in the city as we are having dinner with some old friends from the 2008 WBPC cruise. Let me know for sure so we don't end up in the wrong place.

Sandy & Tony and anyone else going to join us on Saturday to send the Wonder on it's way? Val

I went to Party City today and they had all of their hawaiin decorations out....so tempting not to buy everything and start my door decorations, will have to wait until we get into the summer more.....they had lei's in every color and design, at least 50 different ones if people are planning....

John and I are looking forward to seeing you and Bob again as well. We are going to stay the night at the Radisson near Fisherman's Wharf so we don't have to drive back and forth after our Friday night dinner to be in the city on Saturday.

I called the port authority this morning to see if we would be allowed on the pier but was only able to leave a voice mail message so don't know if we can get on to Pier 35 while the Wonder is docked.

Let's leave it at Pier 39 near the seals for now until I hear differently. Will that work for you? My friends on board say they have to be back on board by 3PM so timing seems right.

Tony and I are hoping to met up with you guys near the seals.

My best friend & her husband are on this cruise & the 1st one to Alaska.
My daughter & I just got home from the Port of Long Beach/San Pedro. We got to wave goodbye to the Wonder and send her on her way. It got off a little late tonight so not as many people on top - as many where off to dinner. We got to let off our balloons and Wave our Disney Hands. There were other people at the restaurant we were at with Magic Disney Hands from when the Magic was in CA. This time we let off red, yellow and a few green balloons.
Since my husband & I were on the Panama Cruise bringing the Wonder to CA my granddaughters & daughter made the sign and balloons to great the Wonder to California.
I guess you could say we are just the Disney Cruise family, like the rest of you!!!
Have fun greeting & meeting her in San Francisco.

Sorry Mandy. You could gargle with soluble Aspirin??

Thanks, I shall try both

I know that feeling. I have just ordered a bunch of supplies for the Fish Extender gifts for my October cruise and now I can't wait for me to come back from my vacation. Hopefully the supplies will all be there and I can get working on those. Because it is a relatively small group. I am going a bit over board. I have two gifts for the ladies, two gifts for the girls up to 10 years old, 2 gifts for the tween and teenage girls, two gifts for the boys, one gift for the men and 2 cabin gifts. I have now ordered all the supplies for everything but the cabin gifts. I will sort those out nearer the time.

I have been making jewellery as a hobby for more than 10 years now, but so far, it was all beaded jewellery. I have just started to branch out and I am having a wonderful time doing so. Some of the new stuff that I am making is inspiring me to maybe adapt it for this cruise.

I should be packing really. I am on a late shift today and tomorrow morning we have to leave for the airport. I hate packing at the best of times, but I have packing for a cruise down to an art form. I am not doing quite as well for a land-based vacation and especially not a lazy beach vacation. This should be easy, but somehow it is not.

I would have to venture to say that it is NOT commonly used in American-English..lol.. Unless it is a regional thing. I have to say that I have not heard it at all around the mid-west!.. We are bi-weekly around here!:woohoo:

Us Aussie all use fortnight :)

If anyone has any tips for sore throats I'd be very grateful......I've been suffering for 3 weeks now and am waiting for throat swab results from the hospital.... ...... Really getting me down now, I've tried sprays, lozenges, gargles etc and am now on the second antibiotic course......

I swear by lemon tea with a little honey, probably doesn't do anything, but it tastes good and makes me feel better.......can't hurt? :flower3:

At Port Canaveral they opened up an area called the Marketplace where vendors come on Monday,, Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a lady there selling "topless Flip Flops" There are no straps on the top. They have some water based adhesive on the bottom and the heat from your foot makes it stick to your foot. It looks really funny to see someone walking in them- you just see their feet. You clean them with dish soap and water. My daugther bought a couple of pairs to bring back to friends in CT. They were a big hit.

Ew, sounds gross! I can't stand having dirty feet, weird I know....:dance3:

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Could be a tough morning here - it's dead calm now, but that line of thunderstorms is coming and tornado warnings are posted for the counties around us. Hope everyone managed to stay safe overnight!

Welcome on board.

Thank goodness for your dear daughter! Otherwise, we'd have had no welcome at All to LA!

Happy Day, all!

Sorry to hear about all the storms. So many seem to be affected. Take care all.

I was on that PC cruise and I have a picture of the balloons and sign your family set up. Thank God they did that- it was the only welcome the Wonder got.
