Although I don't think they would make a D&B specifically for this cruise, I think it highly likely that they might create one for their Hawaiian Resort. Maybe they could make it available for the cruise.

I'm hoping Disney will offer some kind of tour to Aulani. We go to Oahu almost every year so we've already done all of the tourist attracations there, but a day pass to Aulani sounds way cool
If they are doing a D&B for Hawaii, I am all over this. I have a
DCL and a
Disneyland/Disney World Wristlet and a DCL Purse and love them all.
As to Aulani, I am fully expecting that they do some kind of beach day there. They usually offer some beach days in conjunction with resorts and this would be an obvious tie in. I was kind of tempted to use my points to book a studio for the day so that we can use the facilities there and have a good look around. DH is not quite so keen.
The problems we are talking about are from this last PC in Jan on the Wonder. The really messed up that's why I hope others will send a email so history will not repeat itself for a third time
Cool vid, but as one of the "crazy" I am not sure that sits well.
I am one of the crazy people as well and have the full set of pins to show for it. I did not actually get the pin in the store the last two days. At Cabo San Lucas a family right in front of me bought the last pins, but thankfully somebody from our cruise meet thread offered to sell me here spare. This was the pin I wanted the most as it featured my favourite character Stitch. The last day, I was way out, but one of my table mates had a spare pin and gave it to me as a present. When I get back from my next vacation (Dubai in two weeks), I will definitely write to DCL and I will also include the link to the video.
Of course, the irony was that I got out of this line and shortly afterwards I was in another one nearly as long for the Captain's Signing. On the WBTA, they offered the Captain's Signing on two sea days and that took the pressure off considerably.
I seemed to have spent a lot of my time on the cruise lining up for one thing or the other: DVC Member Celebration,
Castaway Club Reception, pins, Ducky Williams signing, Ridley Pearson book signing, Captain's signing, etc. I even had to stand in line for the Galley Tour. I thought the whole idea behind issuing tickets for this is to avoid lines.
That brings back nightmares.

WHY do/did I participate in the pin frenzy. The only saving grace were the nice people and friends we met in line all those days. My iPad was a life saver not to mention the deck of cards. Please DLC

don't make us go through this again.
It did not even occur to me to bring my iPhone. I do not have an iPad yet, but I use the notes function on my iPhone to type my trip reports. I could have done a couple of installments in those lines.
has anyone started a secrete mickey sign up yet?
thanks

Hey guys....someone has to have the answer to this....if we try to rebook this cruise on the May 5th Dream....which I think would not save us any money since they probably have no cat. 11 staterooms available....would they still give us an onboard credit for making the attempt to booking on the ship? Also....if I transfer this ressie to
Dreams Unlimited what kind of OBC are we looking at for a cat 11B?
Thanks much....

I think as long as you are in control of the booking, you can rebook on board subject to availability. I know people who have done this, but had to pay the rates that were applicable on that day minus the 10% discount and they lost their stateroom number. You cannot do this if you have made your booking through a
travel agent or have transferred your booking to a travel agent.
I got $300 OBC from DU, but this was for a new booking. OBC credit for transferred bookings is often lower as they do not get the full commission on this.
Is this for an initial booking with them or the amount for a transfered booking?
I got this for a new booking.
I am way behind so this may have been answered but what is the RSP process? What happened to pins released on your cruise and which PC cruise was it?
Thanks.
Jan
I think some of the PC cruises (2008), they put cards in the cabins which people could fill in for the pins. The amount due was then charged to the stateroom account and the pins where either delivered to the cabin or people were given a pick up time and location. This cut down on the chaos and everybody got what they wanted.
On the PC cruise this year, the whole process was just badly thought out and executed. On the first full day, I went to Treasure Ketch in the morning to check out the D&B purses only to find a huge line. I had no idea what this was about. I asked and found out that the line was for the special edition pin release. That was the first I heard about this. There was something hidden about this on the back page of the Navigator, but it was like two lines in between other shopping offers. We got a pin release schedule later that day.
In Manzanillo, we were not due in port until midday and the stores were open in the morning for a while. I had fortunately had the good sense to check the night before if the pin release would be in the morning or in the afternoon. I was told it would be on opening in the morning and there was not much of a line when I got there. However, I talked to a number of people who had assumed that it would be in the afternoon, only to be told that they had sold out.
In Cabo San Lucas, the stores opened while the ship was still in port. This is not allowed. I noticed this by accident. There were still a number of Disney sponsored excursions that had not arrived back at the time. This was just highly unfair. They should have at least waited until everybody was on board.
The less is said about the last day, the better. However, people approached passing officers suggesting that there should be proper crowd control and were told that they do not have the staffing for this. It was just a giant free for all and it was not clear where the line ended as it when clear around the atrium. Some other people suggested that there should be a pin trading session allowing people to trade their spare pins for others that they were missing. They were advised that there is no space on the ship for this!
