I think the last time I checked in on the thread, we were on thread #1. ;) Two weeks from tomorrow we fly to CA. Hoping I can stay motivated at work for two more weeks!

Love the picture of your fur-babies!

I so agree about staYing focused at work for me I have 12 working days, weekends do not count, I love those!!:rotfl:

I know there has been alot of talk on what movies might be playing while on this cruise...."The Adventures" was mentioned. This time of [around Earth Day] Disney always releases a movies from there Nature series; last year it was Disneynature's African Cats, and this year it is Chimpanzee - Disney Nature Series; here is a link to the trail of the movie:

We love the Disney Nature series, this one looks very promising

We are also staying at the Candy Cane Inn around the corner.. We using DCL transfers. We will be meeting the bus at the GC that morning. I think it picks up at 1215 or 1230.

Are you going to lug your luggage over to GC? I've got an 8 passenger van collecting us at CCI at 10 am. Cost is $58 for two people. There is room for your family if you wish to switch.

We were on the Fantasy MV - DCL did an INCREDIBLE job of avoiding lines and mobs (and for those of us that were also on the Dream's MV this was a difference of night and day)!

They had an RSP for pins & limited edition collectibles - apparently everyone got what they wanted because by the 3rd or 4th day the stores had many of these out for sale.

The MV champagne flutes were in our stateroom when we arrived - one per person. They still had free champagne at the sailaway but it was in plain plastic flutes. (The Dream MV saw people collecting cases of the glasses, while many others were unable to even get one).

The Ducky Williams litho was given out already signed by Ducky - thus avoiding the near riot that occurred at his signing on the Dream MV when crew members attempted to re-direct the line.

And best of all - in the embarkation Navigator and on signs placed all around the stores:
"Maiden voyage, inaugural, & fantasy logo merchandise is limited to two per person, per size, per style." Because of this, the stores were fully stocked with tee shirts, hats, hoodies & all other maiden voyage merchandise for the entire cruise.

Debbie

GOOD to hear that!

Yes.. we are going to lug our luggage..lol..we are going to catch a cab over to the GC so our luggage really won't be that much of an issue. I would think it will be less than a $10 cab ride. We have already paid for our DCL transfers. But thanks so much for offering to let us join your party!.. This close to the trip, I sure don't want to start messing with reservations!..:scared1:

Ok.. I know it is cutting down to the wire, but I have a request/favor of our UK friends.

This is something that if you dont have time to do I understand!!!! My favorite hand lotion and gel are sold in the UK Pavilion at Epcot. They used to sell my favorite shower gel but have stopped. I was holding out hope when I went a few weeks ago that it would be there, but to no avail. When we visited London before the Baltic Cruise we looked at several places and no luck. (Even the lovely front desk woman at the hotel searched for me.)

If anyone could look for: Bronnley Apricot and Almond Shower Gel I would love you forever. I can send money by pay pal in advance or give you US money (I may even have some pounds left here that would cover it.)

Thank you!

Debbie

Hello all....one more day closer to this WONDERful cruise....anyway, this is the first time we are participating in the FE giveaways, and so we are only in one group. Could you please let me know if you identify yourself when you drop off the gift in the FE. Do you put little notes in the goodies?
I know the experts are out there....so please advise.
Thanks much.

I print stickers (address labels) with my DisBoard name, real first name and cabin number to put on the ones I can easily add a sticker.

I haven't up until now - then this time I thought I would but I don't have any of the little wee labels, so it's probably not going to happen.:confused3 Everybody knows what they look like anyway since I posted the picture:rotfl2:

I was going to suggest a Monty Python meet but then I'd have to think about making it official with dates and rooms and all that... and my netbook doesn't have a DVD player anyway. can throw a couple of DVDs in while packing.

OK, I have received payments from Dylan'sMom, Lgough, SMITH2615 and DJH597. I'm still looking for payments from georget, Mousseau and EyeDisneyCruise for the Aulani Transportation.

Thanks everyone! I look forward to meeting you on the cruise!

I had a bunch of business cards printed with my real name, DIS Name and email address and I will add those to the Fish Extender when I am dropping off the gifts.

I don't understand about the specific time I had to identify for boarding the ship. We are scheduled for 12:30. Why is this different from port canaveral?

Another question: How are folks traveling from the Double Tree to the port?

Thanks, Jennifer

I believe that there were some people going with us to Hawaii that were also on the Fantasy MV. I was curious as to how things worked out for MV merchandise. Did you have to spend the night sleeping in the hallway? Was there an order form available for pins? I know I read some horror stories from a number of people who were on other unique cruises and I was hoping that DCL would get a process ironed out to make it fair for everyone.

Dale

The merchandise situation on the Fantasy went WAY better than the Dream....DCL sure did learn. There was tons of MV merchandise even left on the last night. Personally, I thought the quality of some of the MV merchandise was the reason some was left. There were tons of the new Dooney's onboard (I heard they had everything in the warehouse onboard) and was told I would not need to wait in line because all the stores would have stock, but I found the perfect placement on a purse so I waited 1.5 hours for the store to open to get my "perfect" purse but no one "had" to wait in line.

I'm hoping that the merchandise will be just as organized on Hawaii as it was on the Fantasy however, in talking to people on the MV that are also doing Hawaii, I found out that some people did not receive the email from DCL about pre-ordering the Hawaii merchandise and when I tried to forward the email, the link no longer worked.

I'm glad we had the MV before Hawaii....because I now know that I only need 1/2 the stuff I took!!!!!

Someone else will need to answer port part of the question. We are staying at DoubleTree too and hotel has complimentary shuttle to the port and this is what we will use :)
