I sent you a PM. Did you get it?

What was DH not participating in?

The best Meet and Greets for Scar Veterans are the "unscheduled" ones. (Or at least unscheduled as far as they know .....:rolleyes1 ......) Loving partners can plan "spontaneous" encounters...... :thumbsup2

Jan/Kana

.

PM on fabric scraps...oh yes...and I replied....I guess the smile at seeing my name in print does not come across in a post.

As for DH - we were diving...he had done 4 dives that day and begged off on the 5th so I needed another dive buddy - hence the "kid" who wondered why DH was slacking......DH was cleared to dive by his MD but still had to take it very careful......

Don't remember who's organizing the book exchange (the books that will be left for the crew). :confused3 Didn't see any info on page one or the spreadsheets. Please, I'm a Geezer...I need visual aids! :lmao:

.

It will be on the Group Navigator.

Corinna, I received it, thank You so very much!!!!!!!! :littleangel:

You are welcome.

Geezers will meet at 10ish first night at Cove Cafe, after late dining is done. Corinna will put this in the navigator so we Geezers can look up when and where incase we forget.....which is likely! :lmao:

This has already been taken care of.

Now this image would be wonderful on same color t-shirt......

I think this is how this started out. Somebody had seen this design on a t shirt and asked for it to be altered to fit a certain cruise. It really took of from there.

Corinna

Yes, he is on meds.....and as he says would be great to talk with someone who has similar problems...

We'll have to get them together. You and I can compare notes too, it is not always easy being the partner. I spend a lot of time during the night listening to make sure he is breathing.

Great Val...that's a deal.

No burden at all, and yes of course I still am moving forward with the Champagne Girls Event, I sooooooo very much needed, now more than ever! :rotfl:

Send me the address to paypal it! :woohoo:

OK email address sent. In case you didn't get it.....it is: sky00@ptd.net ... that's sky zero zero....

I'm so glad that you'll be able to do the Champagne Girls event with us.

Congrats! There will be so many anniversary celebrations in this ship! Really nice to read! Who ever said, divorce was on an up and up, did not come across this group. I guess they can't survey this group, we are all too busy traveling and enjoying life :rotfl:

Thank you and I would have to agree with you....they didn't survey us, we were too busy living and loving life. That's a great thing.

He doesn't have scars yet....but I think he is on his way to get some. He has problems with afib, not chronic and just recently he had an episode and just finished wearing heart monitor. He is a man, so he doesn't really go around and talk about his problems too much. I hope he might open up a little when on vacation.

Dennis has had 2 bouts of Afib as well. The first on my 50th birthday! :lmao:I think he was so upset at the idea of being married to an old lady.....:rotfl: The second was just last fall after his redo bypass. He has been successfully cardioverted (zapped back into regular rhythm) both times.

I can surely relate to this. Dennis has since 1991 had 2 angioplasties, one atherectomy (spelling??? that is the old rotor rooter before stents were widely used), 2 bouts of afib and 2 bypyass surgeries, the first a quad, the most recent a double leaving one artery blocked because it was too dangerous to mess with it. It has been a journey for sure with several nights of, as Val says, listening to make sure he is breathing. But....he is doing great and WE ARE GOING TO HAWAII THIS MONTH!!!! :woohoo::dance3:

Marty - boards won't let me post his boards name ****** posted a very cute Stitch, for the Fantasy. I just changed the text - thanks

Must not make another magnet. . . Must not. . . Resist. . .

I couldn't help myself. It looked older, so I burned the edges a bit to make it feel even more so. ;) That is the last one I make. . . No, really. I swear it.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is (or their loved one is) going through health problems. I hope for a swift recovery.

Guess what! I finally made it to Walmart! AND they had Purex
3 in 1 sheets! I bought a package.....22 sheets for about $4. I don't need 22 of them,but I'll bring them anyway.

Connie

Thank you for the laughs and hugs this morning, DIS friends!! :cloud9: Took my mom to her PCP this morning and now it's off to cardiac rehab with Dennis. You were definately a bright spot in between. :grouphug::dance3:

Hugs Angie

 :hug:to you and all the other spouses who listen. I can only imagine the terror you felt.

I'm all done with the shirt except the collar. I abandoned it for the night because that part hasn't been figured out yet.

Good night, all.

I've been so busy I can barely keep up and haven't been able to post anything! I know I've missed lots of welcomes to newbies and best wishes to everyone having health issues. Sorry, sorry, and sending good thoughts to everyone.

I'm SO glad there are other Once Upon a Time fans here! I love the memories I am making with my son every Sunday night as we watch the show as a family. There are very few shows on TV these days that are fun to watch for kids AND adults!
DD and I are both watching as well. You should have seen our faces with the big reveal last night!

Now this image would be wonderful on same color t-shirt......
I was thinking the same thing!

In training - so I'm in! Although I cringe at calling myself a GIT. :lmao:

We stopped by Costco after rehab today and bought 3 shirts (along with $300 worth of other assorted "stuff"!) Then I went thru the closet. Dennis now has 13 hawaiian shirts to wear. That should do him fine for dinners. I have half a dozen and found a perfect dress for the luau!! :cool1: We also picked up sunglasses for both of us at Costco. I think we are about set. I need to check out his suit and my dress for formal/semi-formal and then we are good. :yay::woohoo:

John had two afibs and had to be zapped twice. He is on meds for it now and so far so good but a pacemaker may be down the road, I too Val listen to his breathing at night.

We changed out Maui excursion. I wanted to do the Hana Picnic from the beginning and got talked out of it and I thought about it again and I changed the canyon trip to the adult Hana Picnic. Is anyone doing this?

Fe extenders are all packed intheir little bags and put in another bag according to the deck. We are ending up taking an extra suitccase for all the extra goodies we are taking,

And cruising to Hawaii!

This is all so true. My Dh was a perfectly healthy (or so we thought) newly turned 32 year old who left for work one Tuesday morning and collapsed and died instantly at his desk. Turns out he had a genetic heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which we had no clue about! He had absolutely so symptoms. Silent killer is a perfect name for it.

I wish insurance companies handle getting echocardiograms better. Getting an EKG just isn't enough for a lot of heart diseases. An ECHO really needs to be done to look closely at the heart. Yet insurance companies are not going to pay for ECHOs with no family history. My kids each have a 50% chance of having the gene that caused Dh's HCM. So yearly ECHOs and EKGs are just the norm for them now. Should they start to show signs of the disease (which would start to manifest itself closer to puberty,) then they will have defibrilators inserted. Things just become so scary when the heart is involved!

I can't even imagine what you have gone through. :grouphug:

Thanks for the well wishes. :goodvibes

Do you have the link for mini navigator information....I meant to add this to our celebrations and now cannot find it.

What did you want to add? You can PM me or just reply to this and it will get added.

So cute!

I spend a lot of time during the night listening to make sure he is breathing.

OMG, isn't that the truth! Sometimes I just sit up in bed and make sure the covers are rising and falling.

Yay, Dennis, keep on keeping on!

Good health to everyone who is struggling w/issues. May they be resolved as soon as possible! :flower3:
